LATE UPDATE NO.2:

So I woke up yesterday and I hear these weird shuffling sounds coming from my window well (I live in a basement like a troll, and if you have a basement that has windows, you have some kind of window well). Some context: animals tend to get either in my room or in my window well, it's very weird. I've had crickets, I've had ticks, hell, I've even had a whole ass garter snake that somehow got into my room...no, I have no idea how it happened. I also had a mouse that got stuck in my window well. The mouse is relevant because it taught me that when I hear random noises in the general direction of my window well, there's probably some creature stuck in there. So I put on my glasses, check the window well, and lo and behold, I see this strange rock....

*insert dramatic pause*

And then...the rock hopped? Turns out, it was a frog! So I go outside, grab a cup, scoop frog into said cup, and put him outside on the ground.

And that was the day I rescued a frog.
