So In Six Of Crows, When They Arrive At The Ice Court Jesper Has To Fabrikate The Lockpicks For Kaz To
so in six of crows, when they arrive at the ice court jesper has to fabrikate the lockpicks for kaz to get them out of the holding cell, right? (chapter 23)
and then in chapter 38: "Kaz had tracked Nina and Brum across the grounds to the treasury. Then he'd taken cover behind an ice sculpture and focused on the miserable task of regurgitating the packets of Wylan's root bombs he'd swallowed before they'd ambushed the prison wagon. He'd had to bring them up -- along with a pouch of chloropellets and an extra set of lockpicks he'd forced down his gullet in case of emergency -- every other hour to keep from digesting them."
am i just overlooking something or did kaz purposefully get jesper to fabrikate the lockpicks whilst he had a perfectly good pair? or he didn't want to throw up a bunch of contraband in the ice court? please tell me your thoughts
(although i've only got up to here in my reread of the duology so maybe it's referred to further on: if so, whoops and sorry for wasting your time!)

Not so gentle reminder that Alec said this in City of Ashes while he was going to rescue Jace because he thought that since he was gay he wouldn’t deserve to be buried there like other shadowhunters. He probably thought he was going to be buried somewhere at an intersection. Excuse me while I go cry.
Kaz Brekker Character Analysis
As a member of an AuDHD OSDD system, it was only a matter of time before I wrote a paper on my own personal headcanons. A research paper. I wrote this at the same time as my Junior Research Paper last year, and it actually ended up being longer than my JRP. Anyhow, here it is: my in-depth character analysis of Kaz Brekker and my personal headcanons for him, as supported with “evidence” from the Six of Crows novel.

kanej is the definition of “if you love something let it go. if it comes back to you it’s yours forever.” as in kaz saying stay. stay in ketterdam. stay with me. to saying she would never be mine not really but i will give her the freedom i promised. as in kaz finding faith in inej even though he has never believed in saints. as in inej finding her purpose and leaving ketterdam but hoping she can keep trying with him. that they can lead different lives and always find their way back to each other because the heart is an arrow; it demands to aim true.
