so in six of crows, when they arrive at the ice court jesper has to fabrikate the lockpicks for kaz to get them out of the holding cell, right? (chapter 23)

and then in chapter 38: "Kaz had tracked Nina and Brum across the grounds to the treasury. Then he'd taken cover behind an ice sculpture and focused on the miserable task of regurgitating the packets of Wylan's root bombs he'd swallowed before they'd ambushed the prison wagon. He'd had to bring them up -- along with a pouch of chloropellets and an extra set of lockpicks he'd forced down his gullet in case of emergency -- every other hour to keep from digesting them."

am i just overlooking something or did kaz purposefully get jesper to fabrikate the lockpicks whilst he had a perfectly good pair? or he didn't want to throw up a bunch of contraband in the ice court? please tell me your thoughts

so I sometimes poke people as a sign of affection either when they’re uncomfortable with hugs and stuff (completely valid obviously) or when I don’t want to full commit to skin on skin content and I think’s that something Kaz would do to show affection to his crows

just imagine:

*Kaz pokes Jesper*

Jesper, absentmindedly: love you too, Kaz

*Kaz nods and goes back to his work*

Like I think it would be a good way to show affection bc it’s not uncomfortable physical contact but it doesn’t require him to show ton of vulnerability by verbalizing his affection.

(Obviously, it would best if one day he was comfortable enough to tell his crows he loves them but I feel like this would be a good start)

Not so gentle reminder that Alec said this in City of Ashes while he was going to rescue Jace because he thought that since he was gay he wouldn’t deserve to be buried there like other shadowhunters. He probably thought he was going to be buried somewhere at an intersection. Excuse me while I go cry.
