Been struggling mentally and havent been able to find the inspiration so this is the first post in a long while just sketches for now but I was listening to Jeff Satur's Almost over you and I remembered just how much I love him

Will be adding more to this page especially from the Ghost music video. I am super excited about Space Shuttle

i feel like i havent slept working on these. Forgot to say earlier but opinions are welcome 🤙🤙✌️

I keep doing this atm starting but not finishing projects.... oh well here ya go

Just a fanart realism piece that I'm working on at the minute... still in awe of how good Jisung looked in Kingdom.

Who is my Inspiration?

My work is primarily inspired by the South Korean Artist Kim Jung Gi.

What inspires me the most with his work is the attention to detail and his use of shade and colour. I want to use his techniques in my work so I watch alot of his tutorial videos and use his techniques with my own style of art.

Following news found on kim Jungius official instagram. I am saddened to announce that yesterday Kim Jungi passed away in Hospital due to chest pains after touring Europe and then flying to New York.

So I didn't actually mention why I started this blog but as a graphic design student I was asked to do this blog to show my progression through my art and focus on a certain aspect of my skills that I can expand upon. I will continue with this blog after this modual has finished.

SWOT Analysis

SWOT analysis is a strategic planning technique used to help you identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that are related to your career aspirations and development of skills. 

STRENGTHS -  Internal positive things that you have some control over and can change

Strength 1: producing work and holding self to a high standard

Strength 2: planning pieces of work

Strength 3: using work to channel emotions

WEAKNESSES - Weaknesses are negative factors that detract from your strengths. These are things that you might need to improve on to be competitive.

Weakness 1:  producing finished pieces in a reasonable amount of time / being too picky about small things in my pieces.

Weakness 2: comparing work too much  

Weakness 3: harshly critical over own work

OPPORTUNITIES - External things that you can take advantage of and that are likely to contribute to your success.

Opportunity 1: education

Opportunity 2: other artists with social media 

Opportunity 3: multiple options for inspiration I'm always on tumblr, pinterest, instagram etc

THREATS - Threats are external factors that you have no control over. You may want to consider putting in place contingency plans for dealing with them if they occur.

What creative career are 

I am aiming to be a web comic illustrator, so I am aiming to improve upon my digital design work. 

I can post some short comic strips onto social media such as tumblr or webtoon, however I want to show how my work has progressed before doing this.

So I felt like practicing my realism drawing and a new kpop band caught my attention and I have to say their song Happy Death Day is my new favourite song at the moment. I decided to try drawing one of the members.

Using the reference picture below and the colour picker tool on clip studio I created this piece, as someone who likes all of their pieces to look as accurate as possible, I found my self redoing lots of parts on this piece as it didn't look right to me. But overall I am proud of this piece.

I'd really like to try drawing the other members in a few more styles to show any progress in my others styles of art.

Typography part 3 for this I focused more on hierarchy and illustration rather than colours and aesthetics. When doing this piece I wanted the main focus to be the tear drops as that would lead your eye to the title. And I wanted it to look as if the life had been drained from her, however after I had finished the piece I was given a suggestion of having skin tone fading into the grey, however the piece took too much time to do with all the subtle details that I had put into the roses and the pool of golden tears so I didnt want to spend more time on it as I had other pieces to work on.

I started this piece last night and have just finished. Been watching alot of game run throughs of Friday night funkin and decided to draw my favourite character

Second typography piece

Typography poster for one of my favourite krnb artists. I just had to involve illustration in it as I am a illustrator.

Completed. I struggled a lot with this piece as it is one of the first ones that I have done digitally, I feel like I could have paid better attention to all the details and used more shades than I have here.

First time drawing in Tim Burtons style not bad I guess. I actually found this difficult to do as Tim Burtons characters are primarily white so I had to make the eyes less rounded and more of an almond shape and had to change the skin tones from grey to a little bit lighter. As the inspiration has a more tanned skin tone rather than a whiteish pink tone like Burton's creations.
