Hi I like to. Talk. So now I’m going to talk about something called scott/joel. Without a real purpose. Just cuz I love them.

I love how most of 3rd Life Scott is like “I can’t wait to destroy Joel too bad I can’t” and then towards the end he becomes “NO DONT HURT JOEL- wait… hurting Joel is good…” like lmao. I swear that man had the most complicated feelings towards Joel by the end and he just won’t think about it beyond “objectively his death is good”

On the topic of Scott ignoring things. I love how in Last Life Scott whines to Lizzie “ur husband tried to murder me!!!” and she just goes “oh he tried to do that to me too, it’s a sign that he loves you” and Scott just goes “oh” and INSTANTLY moves on from that subject like LMAO bro will NOT think about the possibility of Joel loving him

Wait what if I say a little scott/joel thing for each season cuz I did 3L then LL. Okay so in Double Life I love how Joel was the only person to kill Scott and Pearl other than well Scott. Beautiful. Also Scott burning down the Relation 😭 these two cannot stop burning each other’s things.

Then in Limited Life I love how Scott just wakes up in a cold sweat like “Joel needs to die” and then everyone collectively agrees he needs to die and kills him. Amazing. 10/10. What in the goddamn hell just happened. (Also Scott just being like “Joel. No.” and Joel goes “…ok” and backs down… come on guys HAHAGEHS)

NO ONE knows how to use thou/thee/thy/thine and i need to see that change if ur going to keep making “talking like a medieval peasant” jokes. /lh

They play the same roles as I/me/my/mine. In modern english, we use “you” for both the subject and the direct object/object of preposition/etc, so it’s difficult to compare “thou” to “you”.

So the trick is this: if you are trying to turn something Olde, first turn every “you” into first-person and then replace it like so:

“I” →  “thou”

“Me” →  “thee”

“My” →  “thy”

“Mine” →  “thine”

Let’s suppose we had the sentences “You have a cow. He gave it to you. It is your cow. The cow is yours”.

We could first imagine it in the first person-

“I have a cow. He gave it to me. It is my cow. The cow is mine”.

And then replace it-

“Thou hast a cow. He gave it to thee. It is thy cow. The cow is thine.”
