Ava denies her emotions towards the main character throughout book one and book two, one thing that I can't understand is the reason, does she denies it because she thinks that loving the MC is gonna make her weaker or does it hurt her ego to admit that she fell in love with a human? Or maybe because she is afraid of hurting him both fiscally and emotionally?
