i think an uncomfortable truth is that there is an inherent arrogance one has to overcome after spending too much time alone, which is not so obvious when it's forced (i.e. through ostracism) because the assumption is that someone who has been ostracized is more likely to lack confidence and thinks poorly of themselves. but then there's this dance between victimhood and low self-esteem yet also subconsciously believing that your own view or daily decisions are "correct" or "better" because you've never had anyone tell you otherwise, because you've been alone. and in addition have gotten used to being extremely independent and considering others' input doesn't even occur to you. so when others DO provide feedback, it's almost jarring, like you don't have a behavioral pathway with which to respond or receive the feedback so you just respond with irritation because your system is confused

Doylist explanation: They keep making new electric mouse pokemon because they're frantically trying to recreate the success of Pikachu. Or at least because it's tradition at this point.

Watsonian explanation: A major predator of rodents is birds of prey. A mouse that can deliver electric shocks to flying-types has a much higher chance of living to produce more offspring. Thus, convergent evolution fills this niche in every region. "Pikachu" is just the pokemon universe equivalent of "crab".

Okay hear me out.

Maybe, just maybe, it's not about the 4 out of 5 dentists

It's the 1 out of 5.

Like, yeah, those 4 know what it's all about, but what about that single one? What would they get from refusing? It'd advertise something even more.

So then, maybe, this dentist realised something that the others don't. That maybe this operates in a beneficial way, a way that big dentist wouldn't like. But every time they're singled out by the other dentists that thing they're just full of balony.

So we don't get it for the four, we get it for the one.

Unless, that's what they want us to think.

They know that if they're unified it'll seem suspicious so they always make an outlier to suggest there's more to it.

The plot thickens...

Due to having acquired 100 likes recently (thank you Tumblr for telling me this stuff it's refreshing compared to bot followers and messages) I think now's about the time to make a pinned blog intro post to put up tags for my stuff. And to also add tags to some things that should. Or maybe this is thinking too highly of myself? Either way, that's how people can see my works rather than the loads of stuff I reblog. That should be beneficial for me and others, right? Right.
