British chap in my 50s (eek!). I’ve been here before but back in my day tumblr was full of lady front bottoms and other assorted unpleasantness. Will there be some of that here? Yeah probably. Better make this 18+ only. Likes boobs, architecture, mountain bikes, muscle cars, cool engineering, retro Americana, Boston Red Sox, watching Wales play rugby, trekking up hills, naturist beaches, sitting in hot tubs, brilliant photography, running, lady bums and sleeping. Especially the sleeping. And the lady bums. And boobs. But mostly the bums. And the boobs. Some Tags: My Photos, Bike Porn, British, British Music, Film, Music, Music Videos, Travels, Wales

I love the irony of a “Do not climb” sign on the statue of one of the world’s most famous climbers.

Excavation of the Sphinx c.1887. Ernst Koerner (German, 1846-1927).

I am now back in Kathmandu after completing the hike to Everest Base Camp. It has been a huge recalibration for me. Partly in terms of what I can still do at my age but mainly in terms of appreciation of how easy my life is. I have clean water, electricity and hot showers whenever I want. I came across people with very limited access to these living in (to me) the harshest conditions, yet their kindness, generosity, joy and just-get-on-with-it spirit was genuinely humbling.
I’ll probably bore you silly with photos later, but meanwhile, enjoy the cramped randomness of Kathmandu.
