I went back on the plot anyways iconoclast deserved to live
One of the worst feelings when writing is when you decide to kill a character early on in the development of the plot but then when you actually get to that point you realize you love said character and its too late to go back on the plot now. Iconoclast I'm so sorry, you didn't deserve to die.
"So. Where is your secret base?"
"In the Milky Way."
"No no, I mean where on Earth."
"It's on a tectonic plate!"
"No- Where specifically on Earth is it?"
"Ohhh I see what you mean!
"Finally, I thought this would ta-"
"It's on the Crust layer!"
"I swear to- Alright. What city is it located nearest to?"
"A city with a population of humans!"
"You- That isn't an answer!"
"It's also not a lie!"
This goes on for an extended period of time.
The villain claims to have injected you with a truth serum. In reality the serum they injected you with only prevents you from lying and the villain will soon learn that not lying and telling the truth are two very different things.
