The whole day was a mess. Everything happened so fast, and now, sitting on the bed, Chaeyoung started to process everything. She never expect her so loved mom to appear in the middle of the practice. It was her worst nightmare.

Lee SooMi isn’t normal, and Chaeyoung is sure of this since she was young. How can a woman hate her own daughter? Well, maybe she will never understand it.

Chaeyoung is used to hear her mom saying bad things of her, and well, it doesn’t hurt anymore. But, for some reason, when her mom appeared on the practice room and said all the things that she’s used to hear, it hurted to see the member’s schocked faces. Oh God, she didn’t want to be a burden. But seeing that there are some people who truly cared about her, it feels… new. And good.

Of course, she would prefer that to never happen. But she can’t change the past, and that’s something that she has to accept, being good or not.

“Chaeng, can we… talk for a little?” Jeno’s face appeared on the door. He never looked so concerned before, and this broke her heart.

“Oh yes… come in, Jeno” She tried to smile and pretend that everything was okay. As she always do.

Jeno sighed, getting close to the girl, and looking at her with a serious face “Don’t.”

Chaeyoung frowned. “Don’t… what?”

Jeno made her sat again in the bad, and grabbed her hands. “I know that you have to… take a time for yourself, but i have to say this”.

Chaeyoung nodded “Go ahead, Jen. I think that everyone want to ask about… this whole thing, but you’re the only brave enough”

“It’s just… i love you. We love you. And i know that you’re going through a lot of things, but you have to trust us. I feel so bad for not knowing this and-”

“That’s why i never talked to anyone about that! You guys will start to worry about me more than the usual, and i don’t want this. I’m used to this, this isn’t new! Then why should you guys care? Of course, i’m thankfull that you guys care a lot about me, it makes me feel… loved. But that’s it! What happened, happened. I think that i just need a break.” Chaeyoung sighed.

“A b-break? From what?” Jeno was scared. He wouldn’t let her leave him or nct. Never.

“A break from this. A break from everything!” The girl screamed, feeling the tears coming.

“Chaeyoung, you can’t do decisions when you’re… in this state, you have to think more and… don’t do this.” Jeno was nearly crying. What if, in this break, she did something… bad? He has to be there with her, and for her. And he knew that the other members are too.

“I just want to be alright! I… want to sleep at night” And for the second time on that day, she cried.

“I’m constatly searching for aproval, then i got suffocated by the refusal, and… it hurts.”

Jeno kissed her head “Chaeng-”

“I can’t do it anymore. I need a break”
