it’s still a little baffling to jimin that visiting a food district would ever turn into a luxury especially when the issue isn’t money, not when he’s part of one of the biggest boy bands in the world, but because he’s too famous. it’s a little concerning how he misses the ordinary things in life, how he needs to sneak out with a mask covering the lower half of his face while a bucket hat hides the rest when he’s simply craving the kind of food that he’d go out and eat without thinking twice when he was a high schooler, or even during bts’ first years, just the smell so characteristic of street food is almost making jimin tear up. or maybe he’s just getting weird about this because of his ever approaching enlistment which is just putting a lot of things in a new perspective to him, thoguh he has yet to decide if that’s a good or bad thing.
“so, what do you want?” he asks to the person who by the grace of the heavens accepted his last minute invitation to get something to eat. “just choose anything, it’s my treat.” since it’s only fair. “i might be feeling like tteokbokki, they’re looking really good.”
Being entirely covered had become a norm for Taehyung whenever he went out. His beanie and mask had turned into his disguise when he stepped foot outside of his place. While he tried to stay clear of big crowds, he also wanted to enjoy a normal night out with his best friend. One night wouldn’t hurt them. They needed a chance to feel normal without the haunting thought of the enlistment or the pressure of being an idol. Once Jimin asked him to tag along with him, Taehyung took the opportunity. Taehyung zipped his sweater until it reached his chin and he dug his hands into his pocket while they waited to be called for their order.
“Hmm, I’m still thinking about it.” Taehyung sighed under his mask and rocked back and forth on his heels at what he wanted to eat. “Maybe Jajangmyeon or Japchae. Maybe both since Jimin-ssi is paying.” A playful smile hid under the idol’s face and he lightly leaned on Jimin’s arm, giving him a light push. “If I get the Jajangmyeon, will you share half of the Japchae with me? I probably won’t eat it all.”

“I can’t believe it’s almost time” The oldest member of BTS said, all of them had wanted to do some solo work and at that moment he had thought that the idea of doing things on his own was great but now that he was about to become the second member with his solo debut, the idol couldn’t help but feel nervous, “yah, how does one do solo things and not get nervous?” He asked out loud, his introvert self worring about meeting new people or missing his members too much. He tried to play it of as cool yet his soft eyes betrayed him, he was anxious about being on his own.

“Ay, hyung.” Taehyung’s voice was soft and whiny as he tapped his hyung’s shoulder. No matter how many years went by, the oldest still couldn’t see how brilliant he was. It was as if Taehyung had to constantly remind him how talented he was. “You’ll do great. Remember when we thought you would be one of the last to come out with something? And here you are, ready to come out with your solo debut. I’m proud of you!” Taehyung’s soft voice grew higher, letting his smile spread on his face and he leaned his weight on his brother before he placed both of his hands on Jin’s cheeks and pushed them together. “You got this! Just shake off those nerves.” He moved his hands down to his shoulders, gripping them playfully and widened his eyes, “Hyung, are you hitting the gym again? So bulky!” Taehyung’s cheerful tone hoped that it would shift his brother’s mood by providing him with compliments.

Here Kai thought that they put the Jeju incident behind them. Enough time passed since then that he assumed all was forgiven or, at the very least, forgotten. Kai had give enough space to Jungkook, and his members that he thought no one would bring it up. Now he was learning that wasn’t the case. Kai tightened his jaw, the anger rose the same as before, but unlike this time, he was sober. His mind was clear enough that he knew better.
His smart mouth got the best of him. Mocking anyone never went well. If it was the other way around, Kai would have pushed the other by now. The apology sat patiently the more the other talked. The annoyance read all over his face, making it obvious that he too was upset with this conversation. ❛ That was - ❜ There was a cut off in his words of what he wanted to say. A piece of him felt defeated. Did Kai really want to keep avoiding these guys when they worked in the same industry? ❛ I’ll stay out of your way. ❜ Walk away, he thought. ❛ I didn’t mean that night to go the way it did . ❜ he admitted.
While Taehyung knew that his youngest brother could fend for himself, he still regretted not being within arm’s reach to do much. Had he known the argument would build into something else, he would have stuck by Jungkook all night. All he saw was them getting split up just moments after. There was a lot that Taehyung had on his mind from that night and he hated not being able to express his irritation with the singer.
Taehyung wasn’t much of a fighter. He knew this. Why on Earth he was trying to cause problems in the hallway of a beautiful hotel was beyond him. Still, he kept in place, refusing to be the first one to move. “Alright, sounds good to me.” Taehyung quickly said when the other man agreed to stay out of his way. Maybe now he can have a great trip without worrying if he was going to see Kai around the corner. Just when he was about to walk away, he felt a tug on Kai’s following words. “Yeah, well.” A small debate ran through Taehyung’s head of what his next words should be. “It sounded like you were both pretty tense. Alcohol doesn’t make things better either. I would have preferred you not attack Jungkook the way you did. He might be a bunch of muscle but he’s still my brother at the end of the day.” He didn’t want to continue arguing but Taehyung pressed it again. “I don’t want to have problems with you but how would you feel if it was the other way around?”

It would be a crime to come to Paris and not take Nayeon on a date. After attempting to cook together, Taehyung figured it would be best to buy food from a little café shop that served delicious sandwiches. It wasn’t anything too special, but he bought chocolate along with roses to have a picnic at the Luxembourg Gardens. His staff reserved a small area that was hidden from the public to allow Taehyung and Nayeon their privacy. While he wanted to set the picnic up himself, he had his staff set the blanket that had wine waiting for the two idols.
Taehyung wasn’t sure what he and Nayeon were but it was clear his feelings were growing stronger. They had taken a step from being friends to now... well, he wasn’t sure. He tried not to think about it too much, afraid that maybe she felt a different way.
Regardless of the nerves starting to kick in, Taehyung had agreed to meet Nayeon at the location. He would have preferred to have taken the same car together but he didn’t want to risk someone spotting them together. Not when things were going this well. It still allowed Taehyung to finish setting the picnic as he saw fit. He placed the roses down to prop the items he brought together. He stood up to look at his artwork and readjusted the items until he was satisfied.
“Oh.” Taehyung jumped a little when the corner of his eye caught Nayeon standing nearby. “I didn’t see you there.” His smile slowly appeared along with bowing in a greeting before he approached her some more. “Sorry, is this a little much?” He asked, wondering if maybe he went a bit overboard.

nayeon took notice of the way taehyung blushed after she gave him the compliment, but instead of saying anything she made a mental note to do it more often— not that the action would be hard to do. there was a lot she could compliment him on with absolutely no hesitation, so much so that he could ask her to name ten things (or more) that she liked about him and she would be able to do it. “a massage? how thoughtful! we’ll get you one, too! i just walked up here, you managed to walk up here and set all this up. you did all the hard work.”
nayeon sat down beside taehyung on the blanket and carefully placed the rose down beside her before getting comfortable. she watched tae as he spoke and couldn’t help but smile at the way he could admit things so easily. that was another thing the two had in common. “you don’t have to be nervous! i like anything you do.” she admitted as she looked down at the roses that sat between them, running her index finger over one of the petals. nayeon looked back up at him and felt her smile grow wider. if there was a telltale sign that she was absolutely fond of taehyung, it was the way the smile that was on her face matched the one in her eyes. the way he never ceased to amaze her was something worth bragging about.
once the sandwiches came into view, nayeon gently tapped her chin as she thought about which one she wanted to try more. on one hand, trying a sandwich with honey sounded interesting (and delicious), but on the other, she absolutely loved avocados. this was a hard choice to make. “okay, i’ll take the one with avocado!” she replied, pointing to it.
The chance of Taehyung all of the credit was at the palm of his hand but he knew that would be a lie. The last thing he wanted was to start off this relationship on the wrong foot. Taehyung smiled when he admitted that his staff also helped him. “They played a big role on helping today. Next date will be fully me, I promise.” While he picked the sandwiches and placing of the items, Taehyung couldn’t bring it in him to lie. “We’ll both get a massage though. I think the hotel that we’re staying at has a spa. Maybe we could check it out? I get a little nervous going to places like that alone. I never know what to say.” It was partially true. Taehyung mostly wanted another chance to see her after this. Plus, they could enjoy the massage together.
Seeing Nayeon mirror his smile was making his heart flutter. Her smile was infectious that it was impossible to look away for too long. “well, I like you too.” It wasn’t the exact words Nayeon told him but he found it appropriate to make such a confession. He glanced away briefly to the blanket, wondering if maybe he should have said it later on into the date. Some nerves kicked in when he decided to dig into the basket.
Taehyung sat criss crossed once he had the sandwiches on his hand and calmly waited for Nayeon to choose. “Avocado it is!” Taehyung happily handed her over the food and placed the other one in front of him as he reached over for the drinks. “Do you want to eat first then have something to drink after?”
