Does anyone know any good hexes for an emotional abuser and the people who defend them?

A word of caution to mentally ill witches

For a lot of us, witchcraft is very useful when it comes to helping us cope with mental illness. However, it cannot be ignored that in many cases it can make things much worse.

I’m not talking about having the wrong crystals in your room or invoking harmful spirits, I’m talking about actual psychological ways that practicing witchcraft can lead to unhealthy thoughts. 

It’s not hard to imagine how someone with obsessive compulsions or paranoia might get negatively influenced by the idea that you must trust your intuition or that they might have the ability to sense evil, and people who experience auditory or visual hallucinations might avoid seeking necessary help because they could believe that the hallucinations are a message from some higher entity. 

Of course I’m not saying witchcraft is bad or not real, but what if you experience delusions? What if it makes you scared of leaving the house? What if you are convinced that you are cursed, or that you have to obsessively perform rituals or cleanse your house to stay safe?

I myself have to take steps to make witchcraft and spirituality have a little less influence on my life because it is having a negative impact on my mental health in this way. An important thing to remind yourself of is that your life doesn’t have to include magic all the time. 

You can decide that, maybe for a day, there is no magic. You don’t have to acknowledge the spiritual properties of any object or anything. A stone can be just a stone, a tree just a tree. It’s okay to detach from that world as long as you like, nothing bad will happen as a direct result from doing so. I swear ♡

quick and simple jinx/hex for when someone fucks you over 🥀

this isn’t necessarily for when you have specific intentions for the person (eg. for them to feel guilt) but rather for when you need to express your anger and want for the person to get what they deserve.

you will need:

- black candle (justice)

- salt (banishing negativity)

- water

- the person who you’re jinxing’s name on a piece of white paper in black pen (as a taglock)

- optional: a tiny bit of blood (to represent the hurt they’ve caused you)

side note - this is better performed when the moon is in last quarter because that’s when banishing spells are best or on a new moon to represent new beginnings!

method:

1. fill a glass with some water and add salt. wait for it to dissolve.

2. smear the blood on the paper with the name

3. hold the paper and place the edge into the flame

4. just before the flame reaches your fingers, drop it into the salt water

5. optional: give a massive middle finger at the water & paper. it’s very cathartic.

6. blow out the candle and tip the water down a sink.
