He is the clue to the political sentiment in the country. The lords expect Aegon to be named heir. This is why they pushed Viserys to get remarried. Even if Aegon didn’t want it, just by the virtue of being alive he’s a threat. And if Rhaenyra wants her throne absolutely secured, then knives are gonna come out. (I can give you several real life examples in history on this.)

Otto is not an idiot. He’s a very good politician and he can see the writing on the wall. If the Blackfyre’s were a huge problem, and they’re bastards, if Cat feared Jon Snow and he’s suppose to be a bastard, imagine a true born son.
