Learning from cedermoon: Aphrodite & Glamour Magick
If you're wondering why I'm doing this, it's because I can't get books on witchcraft, nor do I have the energy to read them. I want the time I spend watching youtube to actually help me advance in my practice. Aphrodite also encouraged me to watch her videos and take notes, so I am devoting this to Her. I will link my posts as I post them.

The ones that are dedicated to Aphrodite are under my posts about and for her. Still, I am linking them here too. I will make separate posts to organize them by creator later.

Spit is an interesting one. I'm from Turkey and here grandmas often spit after praying the evil eye away. It's considered protective. I've never used it for anything though.I usually just play wind chimes on my phone and run it around my room to cleanse.
🫧 what's your favorite method of cleansing?
Thank you so much for the question!!
Generally, I like to smoke cleanse, I often light up incense in my home. It keeps the overall space cleansed, especially my living room. It's handy as well when I'm doing spells to cleanse out jars and such.
Secondly, If it so happens I have no incense lit or it just burned out, I like to use my spit. It's quick and effective. I often spit on my sigils to cleanse them. I sometimes swirling some holy water (or moon water) around my mouth and then "spray" it on my objects.
These are basically my two most used ways of cleansing! :)
Preach!
Was it shameful for women in Ancient Greece to openly desire someone? Could it be the reason of rape in some of the myths?
Where I'm from, in older stories, when they talk about romance it's always like "the woman fell in love, the man desired her". Sex is always in the man's domain. A woman, ideally, isn't supposed to say it even if she wants to have sex with a guy. Unless it's their responsibility because they are married. Except for the times in movies where the woman is like "Hurry up, take my virginity so they have to let us get married." And then maybe she expresses sexual desire. But in others' eyes she would be a "whore" for wanting to sex before marriage. It would need to be rape for it to be acceptable in the society's eyes, and even then she'd be a whore for tempting him.
I don't know enough about Ancient Greece to make any claims. Just some food for thought.
Colour Correspondanes: Blue
Blue is the colour of mind. Dark blue stimulates our brains while light blue calms us down. It's a colour that reminds us to look at the blue sky and the vast sea. It reminds us that there is more to this world than just us. I would use it to calm down or just get out of the real, physical world.
Blue is the colour of stillness, waiting and reason. It can be used to encourage thinking before doing. It can be used for focusing. I would use it while practicing mindfulness.
Blue is very peaceful, non threatening. It's quite passive. I would use it to shut people who ruin everything up and make the environment much calmer.
Blue often feels icy and cold. It's the colour of sadness. It can also reduce the body temprature which is very interesting to me because I feel cold even when it's hot when I'm depressed. But interestingly, it's also the colour that represents the water element, which is emotional and caring. It also represents compassion.
