Colour Correspondences: Red

Red is the colour of very strong emotions, positive and negative. Both love and hate make our hearts beat faster, make us turn red, make us do things we wouldn't normally do. (Such as travelling far away to meet your lover or beating someone up.) I would use it to bring what I really desire to reality.

Red is the colour of action, movement and the physical world. Whether it is out of love/lust or hate and attraction.

Red attracts attention which is why is is used in warning signs. Therefore I think it could be used to get recognized or to warn someone not to do something.

Despite red having different meanings in many cultures, it represents heat in all of them. Maybe one could use red to represent the fire element when you can't use actual fire. I also have to mention that fire is often associated with change.

I had gotten out of my comfort zone and made friends even though I was very socially anxious at the time just to see my crush more often. While examining her face's every detail I would hope no one notices the way I blushed. When I got home I would scream into my pillow to process how beautiful she is. Her beauty would make me belive in god if I didn't know my feelings weren't proof.

(can you tell I love women?)

Colour Correspondences: Pink

Light pinks bring in comfort and were found to have a calming effect. Meanwhile darker pinks are more vibrant and playful. Wearing a bright pink suit is a bold choice. It's not easy to pull off. The rest of this post is about my personal associations and they aren't based on colour psychology.

I associate pink with the self. Taking care of yourself, doing your skin care, taking a bath. Painting your nails. Wearing perfume. Forgiving yourself when you need to. I associate pink with romanticising daily aspects of life, seeing beauty in the mundane.

I also associate it with balance. Knowing when to eat healthy and when to eat a dessert. Thinking the best for yourself. Keeping your house tidy without becoming too overbearimg on yourself.

Mixing white into red and making it pink is like watering down your sudden anger to show your true intentions. When you are drowning in your anger you can hurt someone you love. For this reason I would use it for emotional control.

I think pink is an understanding colour. Keeping your cool unless what others do cause harm. Recognizing that people around you have feelings and reacting accordingly. For this reason I think it's also related to communication and therefore friendship.

Colour Correspondanes: Blue

Blue is the colour of mind. Dark blue stimulates our brains while light blue calms us down. It's a colour that reminds us to look at the blue sky and the vast sea. It reminds us that there is more to this world than just us. I would use it to calm down or just get out of the real, physical world.

Blue is the colour of stillness, waiting and reason. It can be used to encourage thinking before doing. It can be used for focusing. I would use it while practicing mindfulness.

Blue is very peaceful, non threatening. It's quite passive. I would use it to shut people who ruin everything up and make the environment much calmer.

Blue often feels icy and cold. It's the colour of sadness. It can also reduce the body temprature which is very interesting to me because I feel cold even when it's hot when I'm depressed. But interestingly, it's also the colour that represents the water element, which is emotional and caring. It also represents compassion.

Cleansing

(I'm a beginner. This is my grimoire since I can't keep a physical one. I might update this as I learn more. Don't quote me, however I'll still post this in case it might be useful for someone.)

What is cleansing, why would you cleanse before spelwork?

Imagine you come home at the end of a tiring day, just wanting to get into comfy clothes and lay on your bed. How would you feel if all your clothes were on the floor and on your bed, scattered all around your room. Dirty glasses and plates just laying around. The clothes must've sucked all the oxygen from your room. Would you still like to lay on your bed? You open your windows and manage to find your comfy clothes but they smell bad because they've been under dirty clothes for days. And you gotta either lay on the clothes on your bed or push them out. Even after all that your room still smells awful and you can't rest comfortably.

Imagine your room is very comfortable and clean and you're just resting peacefully. However a few minutes later a person in your household barges into your room shouting, all stressed out. Even when I didn't believe in energies, psychologically it would leave a negative vibe in my room. To get rid of this I would open a window, and if it didn't leave I would go out and take a walk if I could.

In both instances you probably want to cleanse your room so you can feel better. By cleaning physically or spiritually. It might make sense to clean physically first and then magically, however I find that it's easier to clean physically after doing a little bit of spiritual cleansing. Just to ease the burden of having to clean.

And when it comes to witchcraft, cleansing yourself and your space will help you invite the energies you want to work with and help the energies move better. It's easier to walk around when you don't have clothes on the floor. Cleansing yourself and meditating can help you think more clearly as well.

Cleansing methods I like to use:

What I can do is kinda limited because I live with my parents. To get candles or incense I need to interact with them, even if I don't they'll question me on it and I don't want to deal with that. I won't include things I do physically beforehand that are just basic hygiene, like washing my face and brushing my teeth.

1. Sound cleansing with nature sounds

I know that there are cleansing frequencies but I usually wind chimes or rain sounds in my room. You can do this with other types of nature sounds and include elements as well.

2. Melodrama by Lorde

I used to cleanse by listening to this album even before I believed in these things. It works very well for me. I also cleanse myself by breathing according to the rhythm.

3. Cleansing meditations

I love this one. I do have to mention that I do change the colour of the golden light to whatever I please and I had used this to cleanse my whole room before. It's very useful. Love it.
