Oh, Right. Getting A Good Sleep Schedule. One Of The Things I Need To Do But Keep Postponing. That's
Oh, right. Getting a good sleep schedule. One of the things I need to do but keep postponing. That's probably why he reached out to me anyway. I had asked that while stressing about how I haven't done much for him instead of sleeping another sign I should start sleeping. Thanks for answering. In your experience, does he have any preferred divination methods? I tried to do some playing card divination but it didn't go too well. It's probably on me though.
I don't know if you had talked about it before but how did you start worshipping Hypnos? He reached out to me around the start of this month through a dream. I checked with a pendulum. I dedicated naps and played ukulele for him a few times but not much. I could make things with poppies but it's not the poppy season anymore. I just don't know what to do or how to go about it. I can't have an altar. Doesn't help that I am writing this instead of sleeping.
TBH I don’t really know how I started, I kind of just accumulated things on a shelf over time until I realised “hey that’s basically an altar”. I think I sort of just naturally gravitated toward him.
But you definitely don’t need to face an altar, keeping a good sleep schedule and sleep hygiene is practically worship in of itself. Documenting dreams, having a bed/night routine, prayer, devotional playlists or art or writings, they’re all good and more discrete ways to worship.

Was it shameful for women in Ancient Greece to openly desire someone? Could it be the reason of rape in some of the myths?
Where I'm from, in older stories, when they talk about romance it's always like "the woman fell in love, the man desired her". Sex is always in the man's domain. A woman, ideally, isn't supposed to say it even if she wants to have sex with a guy. Unless it's their responsibility because they are married. Except for the times in movies where the woman is like "Hurry up, take my virginity so they have to let us get married." And then maybe she expresses sexual desire. But in others' eyes she would be a "whore" for wanting to sex before marriage. It would need to be rape for it to be acceptable in the society's eyes, and even then she'd be a whore for tempting him.
I don't know enough about Ancient Greece to make any claims. Just some food for thought.
Learning from cedarmoon: 5 signs Aphrodite is reaching out (an e-offering to Aphrodite)
In this post I won't talk about her signs but things I find interesting from the video.
💖I don't think I've heard anyone talk about soft fabric and silk spesifically before. But it makes sense and I do associate it with her. She is also a goddess of luxury. Getting clothes, pillows or anything with quality fabric in her honour could be a good idea. 🌸Surroudinding myself with things that make me happy is a skill i need to learn. I grew up being told that it's unnecessary to want things to look nice. I need to work to stop being ashamed of it. I like to look nice even when I'm just watching something by myself at home or sleeping. 🪞If you want to change your appereance, it's not superficial. It's self care. It helps you with confidence and motivation. You aren't immoral because of this. This is how the human brain works. 💐You can gift yourself little things as self-care or spending quality time you enjoy for yourself. Rest is productive. 🦢You shouldn't be ashamed liking certain aesthetics because they are feminine. I'm not really into pastels unlike cedarwood. However I love wearing skirts. I had given up on that in middle school to fit in because everyone was wearing blue jeans. It took me some time to not be afraid to stand out and wear whatever the fuck I want.
💋At first I thought it was nonsense that we are already who we want to be but now I think about it she's correct. I wasn't ugly, I was just unhappy with how I looked because I wasn't dressing or doing my hair how I wanted to.

This epithet of hers is very interesting to me. She is often represented by The Queen of Hearts in playing card readings. So I often call her Aphrodite, The Queen of Love as a way to start a prayer. Or just out of love. I wouldn't say I have a favorite epithet though.
I’d like to talk a bit about one of my favorite epithets of Aphrodite and why it’s so special to me.
Her epithet I’d like to talk about is Erototrophos. That means “mother of love”. It likely refers to the fact that She’s most of the time thought of as the mother of Eros, or Love.
Aphrodite Erototrophos is very special to me for many reasons. First, She mostly appears to me in this epithet. Occasionally, She’ll appear in different epithets and I can usually tell from her appearance or how she feels but most of the time it’s Erototrophos.
She also is like a mother to me. She’s very protective, loving, occasionally strict, and is always there for me. Even before I knew this epithet existed and that it was how She appeared to me a lot, I always felt She was very motherly.
Another reason why I love this epithet is because of my relationship with my mom. My mom is one of my favorite people in the world. She’s not perfect, nobody is, but she’s the best mom I could ever ask for. I love her so much. Familial love is so important to me as I’m lucky enough to have an amazing family, and Aphrodite Erototrophos reminds me of motherly and familial love.
I love this aspect of Lady Aphrodite so, so much. What’s your favorite epithet of Hers and why?
🌊 Sea Grounding 🌊
a quick guide on grounding with the sea or ocean for you beach bums

sea grounding:
🌊 prepare yourself with appropriate sunblock measures!
🌊 (to the best of your ability) stand barefooted on the beach where the waves can reach and recede from you
🌊 visualize:
every wave over your feet pulls you closer to the center of the earth, burying you.
you are becoming part of the earth.
push your old energies out, let the sand exfoliate them from you
the water that washes over you brings new, fresh energy. it soaks into you with the cold and the wet
🌊 when you are ready, step away from the water gently. you are not severing the ties harshly, only letting them fall away, the way the tide releases you

When you have a troubling thought that won’t leave you in peace, take a dried leaf. As you crush the leaf, imagine that it represents your problem, and then release it into the wind, letting it go.🕯🍂
