okay okay, wait, consider, c!wilbur after newly founding l’manburg- high off the power rush and everyone treating him with so much respect now, it’s intoxicating to say the least.

you move into l’manburg, and he expects you to treat him the same! words of praise and admiration, flustering over every little comment he makes about you.

just think, for a moment, how he processes it when you don’t.

He spends so goddamn long trying to impress you- money and power and whatever jewelry he can get his hands on, but nothing seems to work. you return every gift with a scowl, roll your eyes at every compliment, fold your arms and huff over dinner dates and proclamations. it’s infuriating, and he can’t hold back for long.

so after a press conference he invites you over for wine, and while half-drunk you spill that you are in fact infatuated with him, but you like the game of cat and mouse. the chase, the thrill, all of it, and he splits into a wicked grin.

oh, angel, if it’s a game you want, it’s a game you’ll get.

GOD UGH AND HE'D BE SO GOOD AT THAT GAME TOO?? especially once he discovers

"i like when things are tough.... why wouldn't i like you wilbur. our game, it's just so fun to play" you mumble.

"game?" wilbur asks, an idea stirring in his head and a smile stretching across his skin.

"this thing we have," you slur.

"elaborate." one word gestures to your muddled responses.

"this thing where.... where i pretend i don't love you nearly as much as i do"
