Hi. I was just recently diagnosed with a brain tumor and will be undergoing an 8 hour craniotomy to remove the mass before continuing with treatment. I'm terrified and was wondering if any of the Cranes had words of wisdom or advice before I go under the knife?

This is by far the most personal and serious ask I have gotten, and I still honestly don’t think I gave it the justice it deserved. I have personally not experienced anything nearly as serious or stressful as you are currently, and all I can really do is pray and wish you luck in this endeavor. I do hope you can occupy your time until then doing anything you enjoy, and that this stress passes quickly. Already in the short time you have spoken to me, you have shown immeasurable kindness and I have a feeling that this whole treatment will reflect that. Good luck with this, and I hope you continue to feel joyful without the anxiety that this brings you. - Wolf
