I feel like satan's a little over hyped in the fandom tbh (is this an excuse to see you talk about your fav? maybe)
satan is far from over hyped and I will tell you why (because your right, he is my favorite through and through.)
satan is often just compared to lucifer, and yes we all know that he came from the demon, but theyre not at all the same person. I feel as if when people talk about satan they often will say "ya he's nothing like lucifer" but then still compare him.
satan became his own person, which is astounding to think about considering that he was the only brother to be born straight from his cardinal sin. he developed an amazing personality that not only encompasses his want for knowledge but also the dynamics of someone who holds himself highly. i love that he can be so full of himself sometimes because it's his own, he takes what he's good at and he thrives, all the way down to even the butler event he knew he was good at what he was doing. his pride completely differs and it stems more from his happiness of what he's learned and taken in. satan may be the avatar of wrath but deep down he has the most joyous personality.
despite the fact that satan holds himself as a dignified person, he's way more naive than people realize. he's a book smart demon and he knows the most clinical way of information, but his actual experiences with certain things are more shy and tamed, as if he's attempting to take in information first before fully diving into something. despite this though, it's shown how incredibly charming he can still be, technically being a socialite of a demon.
his relationship with the mc has so many dynamics to it, and it's honestly the healthiest out of the brothers. whether you want just something platonic or romantic, he treats the mc as a friend nonetheless. while he may lose his temper from time to time, he's always quick to apologize (not talking about before your pact tho) when he's calmed down- which is communication. he likes to spend time with the mcdoing things that he enjoys because he feels he can fully share these experiences with the mc. i mean, honestly he feels he can share anything with the mc because he believes that they actually want to understand him.
satan is also the only brother who didn't know lilith and even though he acted happy and excited as everyone else after the events in lesson 16, I truly wish there was more to his actual thoughts on the matter. i believe satan has fully come to like the mc because he truly appreciates them, as they are, and not their relation to lilith. (though the events in lesson 16-17 have other issues, I believe this is another one)
i think im just rambling at this point, but these are my genuine feelings towards satan and i love him.
send me an opinion and i'll argue that you're wrong.
mammon clings to you as he sleeps. it’s the only time he’s emotionally vulnerable.
mammon will put on a front as you cuddle into his side and lay your head on his chest, but you can hear his heart beating a million miles a minute. the shake in his arm as he puts it around your waist doesn’t go unnoticed as well.
you don’t realize how truly clingy mammon is unless you wake up in the middle of the night, when he’s fast asleep. his arms will encircle your waist, his legs entangled with yours, and his face will be pressed into your chest. every single place that he can possibly touch of your body has his skin pressed against it. good luck moving, because he’ll only hold you closer.
mammon clings because he’s worried that the best thing in his life will disappear. despite his efforts to convince everyone and himself that he’s the greatest, in his heart he knows that’s not true. in his heart he knows he’s a scumbag, the worst, bottom of the barrel, and a complete and utter moron, just like his brothers say.
and yet, you’re here, in his arms.
and he’s greedy.
he doesn’t give a damn if he doesn’t deserve you, because he’s going to have you. he’ll love you with everything he’s got in the hopes that you’ll do the same.
but being emotionally vulnerable is hard. how can he even dream of admitting any of this to you, when he believes he has you completely fooled with the narcissistic façade he has on all the time? he doesn’t realize you’ve noticed him falter, the mask drop, even if just for a second. how could he tell you that everything he says and does is a lie?
he can’t. at least, not yet.
so for now, the only time he is true to himself is when he’s asleep, and can’t stop himself from wanting you. for now, he has you in his arms, your skin pressed against his. and for now, that’s all he needs.

moira. (satan x reader)
au where soulmates have one another’s names tattooed on them. wrote this as a warm up so it’s short, but i hope you enjoy it✨
When you were born, your mother saw the name written on the inside of your right wrist and he fainted, clutching the cross around her neck. Your father cried for his child’s fate.Â
Since then, they tried their best to make sure you go to church every week, teaching you how to fold your hands and pray, encouraging you to read the bible until you remember its content inside out. “You can still be saved,” your mother said to you one Sunday after the sermon as your father talked with the priest in a worried tone.
You don’t mind. You think it’s a great opportunity to learn about your soulmate, or at the very least, your soulmate’s species. You drink up every narrative about demons—the Legion, the demon in the desert, the snake with the forbidden fruit, and anything that is nowhere near holy. You don’t stop there though. Studying demonology books, secretly meeting up with witches, searching anywhere for any clues about your soulmate.
And so, years later, when you find yourself taken to Devildom one evening, you’re not as scared as they expect a human might be.
“...and that one there is Satan, the fourth eldest of us.”
Your eyes meet striking green eyes and the demon returns your smile with a knowing one. “Nice to finally meet you.”
