Okay I Saw This On A Fic Where Theres A Group Of Quirkless People But They Banded Together And They Call
Okay I saw this on a fic where theres a group of Quirkless people but they banded together and they call themselves Baselines because Quirkless is a slur. Anyway, idk what the fic was called (it only had like two chapts) but it got me thinking
(And also the fic called Present Your Past, Heart White-Laced (Prove That You’re More Than A Sum Of Your Parts) by Otakku6337)
Anyway, so what if because Quirkless people do not have Quirks, they follow Lamark’s Evolution theory more (because people have a state where their body adjusts to their quirk and it’s affects/prepares for the quirk and its effects (like Ochako‘s fingerpads and her being better with nausea and force than most) which is why late quirks are more powerful (the body needed more time to prepare) (unless they just didnt have the right thing their quirk used (like if you eat pineapple to turn different colors, but having never eaten pineapple before) I’m getting off track.
Consider that if their body does not need to adjust to a quirk (which would also take up brain space because to the brain a quirk basically a giant new muscle) they would spend time adjusting to the environment. Their junk DNA (more than a normal person who has a quirk) and the adaptability part of the DNA which would be slowly replaced/awakened with/into functions and adaptations specific for a quirk would instead be used to create small mutations that help them survive their environment. Getting repeatedly burned? Skin adapts to become more flame resistant. Breaks bones repeatedly? Instead of just the break becoming more resistant, the entire skeletal structure starts becoming more force resistant. Gets bruises often? Blood vessels become stronger. Just like when you work out your muscles break down then are built up stronger but with more cells.

Imagine if Naruto, the anime/manga, actually wrote Sakura right
For those not in the know
Examples of her character not being given the chance to grow:
just becomes a medic after Naruto - no super strength she worked so hard for I guess
marries sasuke - apparently he and Naruto are just Really Good Friends, and she loves him despite all the things he did against her
after time skip, she gets stronger but literally nothing else changes
still has a crush on Sasuke after Konoha crush/actually wants to go with him? Dude he helped the guy who murdered hundreds? You think she likes him after that?
Consider that she wouldn’t be so forward with Sasuke if she had realized the first episode was Naruto flirting and not Sasuke?
Never touched on the genjutsu thing?
Tsunade is the only Sannin with real backlash to using her gift?
Sakura forgives him right away? Even though he tried to murder her? Literally on the sidelines for almost everything?
You know, you're scrolling your tag and you see like two ideas and you just want to smash them together? No? Well I do sometimes. So here:
Consider Izuku as a vigilante for longer than the police realize. They only have figured out in the past week or so (not the current year or two ) because Izuku basically cosplays as different underground heroes. And I'm not talking put a wig and outfit on and call it good, I'm talking wearing makeup, and indiscreet voice changer (or quirk at bottom), outfit as close as possible, with stilts or pumps heels even and contacts and wigs and mannerisms. He planned this out for months, spent hours researching different underground heroes just to get their mannerisms, fight styles, patrols and hobbies. He got so good he's fooling not only the civilians, but other pros at a distance. The only reason there was a report a new vigilante was out and about was because he literally ran into Eraserhead while cosplaying as him. So now Eraserhead is trying to find his double and Izuku is committed now to staying as Eraserhead.(He doesn't want to be caught in a different cosplay and cause more suspicion or paranoia). (Alternatively, he just focused on Eraserhead because he was the easiest to copy)
Notes on Izuku profile: Notably, there would be some changes. Considering Aizawa is 6ft ish/ 183 cm, Izuku would have to be decently tall to be close. Let's say between Shinsou's height of 177 (5'9) and Kirishima's 170 (5'6) so about 5'8-5'7 (Add 1in pumps) It's still a solid four inches, but if Izuku doesn't actually slouch as much, just gives off the appearance, or doesn't stand close to Aizawa, no one can tell. Also consider that his hair would be shaved shorter so that wigs would stay on easier. (More crew cut like, at least on the sides (think undercut?)) If you really wanted to, 3-4in pumps (but that seems clunky) Listen Izuku got really into his cosplay, of course he shaved his sides.
Effects of world around him? One, people are more confused about what Eraserhead's quirk is, because sometimes he erases quirks and sometimes he can...taze people? Move really fast? Heal overnight/in hours? (Because they switch) If USJ, Shigaraki takes longer because the underground has no clue what the cues are either
Two: UA could probably be for sixteen (not fifteen) years olds, just to make the height difference easier.
Three: On April 1st, Aizawa creates a truce and he makes the vigilante (Eraser Head or EH/Eh Rubberskull? Rubbernoggin? Pencillead? Leadtail? for short) be him instead. His friends only catch when Izuku starts skipping away. They have several seconds of bluescreening before that though.
Midoriya's possible quirk? Mimic: Whether it be just a voice thing, or expands to mannerisms and or quirk (very slightly/asthetics) (Shinso bonding or Monoma bonding?)
Or, alternatively, a minor shape-shifting quirk, not enough for permenance (does it once and it lasts for like 4hrs) and has to perfect by himself. (Or a friend who could do that to other people)
Finally, Echo: has a set of three quirks that he can echo- can activate for 3-5 seconds. Easier and longer the more time he spends in their presence, and are consciously chosen. (He can use his mom's for 20 minutes, but only because he grew up with her). (Monoma bonding?)
Other Random sidenotes:
Izuku bringing Shinsou in on it (maybe once on the day before the next April fool's, after he was caught)
"Are you sure it isn't mitosis? Because I'm staring at three Aizawas and I'm pretty sure I'm not seeing things "
If the whole class is involved:
"Guys, Aizawa multiplied. There is no class, and mini-hims are all sleeping around campus. I almost tripped over one of them on five separate occasions."
"You think that's bad? We ran out of coffee again. We bought coffee beans last week! One of them even hissed at me like Aizawa does when I tried to get my own!"
Meanwhile Aizawa: no schoolwork :)))
Random student: *traumatized* there are neon yellow catapillars everyone and Everytime I look back they've gotten closer
Other random: At least you know where they are. When I look back, they Vanish
Izuku standing next to Aizawa, both dressed as Eraserhead.
"Are you sure it isn't the shorter one?"-Mic
*Both give Mic a disappointed look*
Mimic!Izuku in 1A:
"Guys guys watch this- *changes to Aizawa voice* -Hi I'm Aizawa, I'm 30, going through my midlife crisis, sleepless and part cat and catapillar. Also I despise everything-"
Or *in Aizawa voice "*cackles* Logical Ruse!"
Consider that most would use Izuku as the personification of Light and Life, and Shinsou as the personification of Darkness and Death. Then flip.
Izuku being a kind death, welcoming darkness that takes the suffering souls, the hurt souls, and wraps them in his cloak of only black.
Shinsou being a tired life, with light more akin to moonlight than to sunlight. Shinsou giving karma to those that hurt others, and using his light to reveal the talents of those previously forgotten.
Izuku coming to gently lift a soul from a body, and Shinsou being that instinct in your head that refuses to let oneself give up on living.
Aizawa who thought he would get a mini-him and is now stuck with this super kind soft child that for all intents and purposes looks like a Sunshine Child.
Yamada thinking that he would get someone bubbly and talkative like him, and instead getting this lazy snarky child that would fit in better with the Abyss Children.
And of course, Nemuri and Oboro were the Dawn and the Dusk Mentors, though better known as Twilight children.
Ah the real reason I joined is that I had a plot bunny…
or many…
Bnha/Mha Fusion AU
Okay, so I recently found the fusion artworks for bnha (or mha) and I love the idea. However, I got this new headcannon about for Izuku. So in my headcannon, for the fusion to be stable, it has to be 50/50, right? And the 50/50 is the physical aspect and the mental aspect.
Since Izuku is nice (fuses really easily) Bakugo practiced fusing with him a lot. Since their personalities are basically opposites, they were really unstable though. And Bakugo would get really mad when they unfused. So Izuku learned how to split differently. (90% physical and 10% mental) to stay stable and let Bakugo take the reins. (He mentally hides so Bakugo can't verbally bully him in his head) And since he fused with Bakugo the most, even after getting into UA with AFO and taking Fusion Classes, it remains this way.
So the majority of his fusions are basically someone else in (mostly) his body using their quirk. Aizawa is confused/worried. Izuku thinks he's doing great because fusions are always meant to be stable and his fusions are always stable! (he also does this kinda as a mental safety feature because they share thoughts and he doesn want them listening to his muttering or depressing thoughts)
Aizawa is all like "kid that isn't how fusions are supposed to work. It's supposed to be 50/50"
Izuku: "It is 50/50, though, see?"
Aizawa: *knows Izuku is technically correct, but is inherently wrong* "50/50 on both mental and physical aspects"
Izuku: "But then I like it better this way"
Aizawa: "kid..."
(When working with his friends, it ends up increasing more towards 20-25%)
And since the Sports Festival, let's say Shinsou joins "for practice" So imagine Aizawa's surprise when Shinsou and Izuku merge, and they end up a good 35-65% physical aspect (Izuku obviously being more) and instead of getting more positivity as Aizawa expected, they get more determination, better quirk use and somehow more dark jokes and sarcasm. And then afterwards Shinsou just stares at Izuku before they are assigned to move. (Because Izuku mutters some helpers and lets Shinsou hear him because he knows how it is to be in Shinsou's place and wants to help/inspire)
And then Shinsou skips practice with Aizawa the same day (Aizawa is totally not concerned/upset... not at all...) (During which, Shinsou is like "how do you understand me? You're just another person with a flashy quirk whose been told all their life that they'd be a great hero!" And Izuku is like "My quirk came in during the Sports Festival" and Shinsou is like "oh." and then Izuku gives him more pointers on his quirk, lets him practice on him, and hugs him when Shinsou just stares at him, shocked that he didn't get scared away) And then when Izuku and Shinsou do it again, it is 50/50 and Aizawa is impressed... and then concerned again. Because even though it is 50/50 the personality is still double sarcasm and dark jokes and determination. Although now they smile a bit more and help others. And now Aizawa is wondering how much of the cinnamon roll is actually positivity and not a mask. And also why the heck they are still scared of teachers or mistrust other students.
ShinDeku:
•Still sarcasm and dark jokes
•more determined
•smarter quirk use for Shinsou
•good tactics
•likes helping others
•has nice smiles like Izuku, just harder to get
•excellent poker face/acting skills
•almost godlike reflexes
•more confident, (Izuku building up Shinsou) but still insecure (More Shinsou, some Izuku)
•Less likely to take words to heart than Shinsou
Quirks: Brainwashing and AFO (enhances Brainwashing too by upping victims pain threshold to snap out of quirk)
Extra Ability: Charisma
When used, can effectively inspire audiences, as well as cause people to trust them, and make people 25-50% more likely to answer.
(I feel like Im required to make a fanart now, so ta da?) (I couldn't figure out the hair so it's stripes now I guess)
