Im a seokjin stan and yes after the v app incident i was upset but whats even more upsetting is the number of asks in my inbox saying i am overreacting and calling jin names and whatnot.

when eat jin first came out, as a seokjin stan you have no idea how happy i was. finally we get something 100% seokjin and seokjin only. finally maybe people will see how precious he is and love him just a bit more. so when you say i was overreacting i am damn right mad. i don’t understand how you can go on a video that you know is going to be all about jin and comment about the other members so much so that jin has to literally say “don’t look for the other members”

it is EAT JIN. an established set of videos that kim seokjin + food features in. if you don’t understand me yet, imagine, as a hoseok stan how would you feel if you saw jungkook and jimin being mentioned in his dance videos to the point where he had speak up and say look forward to my dancing and not the other members’. also no im not hating on hobi this is just an example.

im not saying stop loving other members. all of them- taehyung, jimin, hoseok, jungkook, yoongi and namjoon, all of them work hard with blod sweat and tears and so does seokjin but its just that people dont give him enough credit. when you listen to their debut tracks and their recent releases you can hear  how much he has improved and through their dance practice vids you can see he has gotten better in dancing too

yes maybe im overreacting in some ways but fuck if i dont want to see my bias being slighted by the fans always as a pretty face, bad dancer and bad singer of the group and never appreciating his hard work

and to the anon who was being particularly nasty i hope you see this and think about what you said

important things no one remembers about kim seokjin

he came into big hit with absolutely zero singing or dancing experience (unlike all the other members minus v) and had to put in an incredible amount of effort and hard work to meet their level of talent, proving that hard work does pay off and can be just as good as talent.

he spends the allowance he gets from his parents on ingredients. not just for himself; he selflessly uses his own money to make meals for all of the members to enjoy with him. 

he’s the one that mediates the group and stops jokes before they go too far. I guarantee you, if seokjin wasn’t in the group, there would probably be a lot more group infighting.

he literally drives jungkook to school. without him jungkook would probably be a highschool dropout tbh

pretty much everyone in bangtan has hinted at some point that he’s the strongest member in the group. if you thought jimin or jungkook was ripped weLL have I got a surprise 4 u

oh, and if u like how jungkook has muscles, just remember he only started working out because he started going with jin to the gym 

that one time they asked him his ideal type and he started talking about how much he likes dogs

he literally carries around a spoon and special chopsticks. if that is not the most adorable fucking thing

people always talk about how relatable he is bc of his love for food and his handsomeness, but more important than that is that he’s willing to show himself eating to people - as an idol. He’s one of the few idols that projects a healthy image to everyone, by letting them know it’s okay to eat. he shows that you don’t have to starve yourself to be beautiful (i mean, just look at him !) 

he also shows that you are allowed to be confident in your looks. how many times do we hear idols say “oh no…i don’t think i’m handsome” or only say they’re handsome as a joke? jin isn’t afraid to be self-confident and show he has high self-esteem and it’s so important for young people to see and hear and know it’s okay to feel like that. 

jin is just such a good and lovely role model (he’s truly hard working, selfless, diplomatic, nurturing, kind, adorable, silly, and mentally and physically healthy) and I wish more people would see and appreciate that about him. let’s all be more like kim seokjin. the world would be a better place
