(Otachi poster by Ken Taylor as background) Xander, he/him, rampantly bi(cycling) . Notable for the supposed might of a THOUSAND (1000) lions and a lack of meaningful intelligence. I ramble on about a "couple" of things. This is intended to be broadly SFW, but you are likely to see a few beasts and critters (not recommending if you have phobias). I swear somewhat, though I moderate it a bit. Not hesitant to block if disturbed. Unable to donate. Racists, homophobes, transphobes, pedophiles, warmongers among others DNI.

Because Touden Siblings Are From The Northern Region, I Had To Draw Them In My Country's (Finland) Traditional
Because Touden siblings are from the northern region, I had to draw them in my country's (Finland) Traditional outfits.
Laios is wearing men's Karstula and Falin Tuuteri's outfit.

Of note, this color change is sensitive to even super low levels of radiation that are just considered part of modern life - like cigarette smoke and car exhaust. That said, it is a useful monitor because it grows in many climates and shows exposure within just a few days.

Finished Heartstopper season one. Unsurprisingly, peak.
I have many praises, including how it fleshes out other characters' development with new scenes. The acting also adds interesting nuances to existing interactions, I find, as does the pacing. For these reasons I would say it is a really good adaptation.
I felt many emotions while watching it. Happiness, amusement, sometimes sorrow. I found some scenes hellish. Bullying is painful to think about and there was a surprising amount I could recognise.
However there is a strong sense of determination and optimism in spite of such struggles. This is is a really valuable message. And with how powerful the comic gets, I feel the following seasons will be remarkable.
Anyways, outstanding, beautiful show, and I look forward to seeing the rest.
... TOMORROW IT IS TIME FOR KING KONG VS GODZILLA!
... ASI ANAROI A SEKE SAMOAI! ASI ANAROI A SEKE SAMOAI!
(Main theme is an utter banger and I love that they reused it for Godzilla: Minus One)
((I fear(?) posting Godzilla in conjunction with Heartstopper will become a habit))
PS: my thoughts on KKVG
I agree strongly with modern society as a system being general being very out of touch with nature, and there tends to be a very curbed interest in nature as a result of its general absence in educational curricula and otherwise.
And the thing is, as well as nature doing us a lot of good for our actual wellbeing and being a subject of various hobbies like documenting things or illustrating, there are very real practical benefits to working with rather than against nature in various ways, for example in agriculture or urban planning.
There is this inherent assumption of nature being hopelessly inefficient and slow at solving problems, and at worst being a recipe for disaster but this is not true. It can be made productive, and this does not have to come at a significant cost to biodiversity, either.
By extension I would argue that protecting and coexisting with nature is not just a thing done out of righteousness, but it is something we should do for the sake of society, in more ways than just remaining in planetary boundaries.
nah but fr we really shouldn't coddle animal phobias. idgaf no more if your reaction to an insect that isn't an abstract blob with mild insect flavoring on top is to either say something along the lines of "kill it with fire" or have a fearful reaction to the point you need to have people censor images of them you lowkey have a problem and need help.
