Lets do this one last time with my boy Magic. This show is the reason why I’m still working here at Disney, it’s the reason why I grew and matured and a performer, it’s the reason why I am grateful for the work that I do everyday and it’s the place where I am most free to express myself as a dancer and as a person. It’s bittersweet being the opening cast and watching it close. 120/193 flags that I could potentially represent via DNA. Not all of these apply for sure but I’m taking what my 23 and Me DNA test has given me of that they are trying to dig deeper into. There are more results to wait on as my test gets even more specific so every time they give me updates, my mind is blown!!!! Surprise, of all of Melanesia (Oceana/Pacific Islands) I don’t see Hawaii in the mix nor Saipan. I also didn’t just put down every country I could think of, I typed in what the app showed me that I am being tested for and there’s an emoji flag for each of them. This makes me feel more connected to the people of all of the world and, yes, some percentages are less than one percent but it still makes up what my genetics all together have been used to create (me). I will represent each part of me because it makes me unique but it connects me to all of you at the same time!!!! I’m glad to be ending my day by looking more into this.
