DOHOON had woken up in the middle of the night, in instinct, he pat the spot next to him and only felt the cold pillow and duvet, not the warm body of her

He immediately sat straight up, feeling alarmed. Throwing the heating blanket off him, he rushed to the bathroom still feeling sleepy. He became awake when he didn’t find her there

CLANG!

Came from the kitchen so he rushed down only to find her and a pot on the ground

“Are you okay?” He asked, picking up the pot, putting it on the kitchen counter and immediately going to her and held her hand

“Yeah, i just felt hungry so…” she let out, looking down and watching their held hands

He simply smiled and plated kisses all over her hands “You should’ve woken me up, baby. I’d cook for you, you know that”

“I know, but you looked too peaceful while sleeping and I know your comeback is nearing so you’re probably so so tired, and you and your members have been so stressed and-“

He giggled to himself before cupping both of her cheeks and giving her a small peck on the lips— an effective way to shut her up when she starts rambling

“You shouldn’t worry about that. No matter how tired or stressed I am, seeing you, spending time with you, and seeing how happy and content you are is enough for me to feel better. Now, what does this hungry girl want?” He asked while lifting her and sitting her on the kitchen counter

The rest of dawn was filled with flirting, laughter, and eating. Dohoon couldn’t ask for a better (almost) morning than this

DOHOON just got back from practice, looking at the wall clock in the shared apartment with his girlfriend, it read ‘2:27 AM’

He sighed tiredly, feeling the fatigue from practice kicking in. He kicked his shoes and tossed his bag onto the couch

He entered their shared bedroom to see her still awake, laughing her heart out to a Tiktok video she saw

“Hi, baby!” She greeted enthusiastically, jumping out of bed and hugging him tightly. Dohoon could feel the tiredness leaving his body as he relishes in his girlfriend’s hug “Hey” he whispered out, burying his face on her shoulder

“Have you eaten already?” Dohoon shook his head, still hugging her “There’s some leftovers in the kitchen, come on, let’s reheat it” she then let go of the hug and made her way to the kitchen

Dohoon frowned and followed her to the kitchen before hugging her from the back “You’re clingy today” she commented

“I haven’t seen you for the whole day, can you blame me?” His words muffled as he kept his face buried on her shoulder blades

“It’s done, sit down and I’ll set it to you” and with reluctancy, he sat down and waited for her

She watched him eat with a smile on her lips. He looked cute, gobbling down the food like there’s no tomorrow. As Dohoon came to the last bite, he offered it to her who took it

Dohoon then washed the dishes and dragged her to the bedroom, lying down immediately

“You just ate, you’re gonna have an upset stomach” she lightly scolded, sitting up “You’ll take care of me anyway” Dohoon then pulled her down and hugged her

All she could do was laugh which made Dohoon smile

Sobbing was all YOUNGJAE could hear upon entering his shared apartment with his girlfriend. With how loud the sobs were, he knew that she didn’t hear him come home

Changing from shoes to a pair of home slippers, he went to set down his things on the couch before going to their shared room. Once he opened the door, the sobbing immediately stopped and he saw the blankets moving subtly; tried to be subtle at least

He changed into his pajamas before tucking himself next to her and immediately spooning her

“I’m home,” he said, kissing her cheeks ever so lightly a few times before hugging her tightly and then letting loose “Have you eaten?” he nodded upon her question “How about you?” “I did, too”

“…”

“…”

“Are you alright?” he asked, voice soft and in a whisper, trying to not hit a button yet it did. Her tears suddenly started coming out without a warning, her sobs earlier turned into bawling as she turned around to bury her face into his chest

Oh how he hates hearing her cry, especially like this. It’s like he can’t do anything to make her feel better

He caressed her back and head, kissing it from time to time while her clutch on Youngjae never loosened

Once her cries calmed down, he asked her, “Are you willing to tell me?” she nodded and told Youngjae about everything

If Youngjae liked your friends before, he surely didn’t now. The way they made you feel so invalidated was so wrong. And they’ve always done this? Oh he was so ready to confront them for you

“I’m so sorry, baby,” he planted a kiss on the top of her head “If only I knew how you felt, I would’ve tried to do something so that your friends will stop doing that. You deserve to feel and know that your feelings are valid and never a kill-joy. How you feel is important. What they did to you should never be excused, it doesn’t matter if they’re a friend or not, the fact that they kept invalidating your feelings should be an enough sign to cut them off,”

He wiped her teary eyes that listened to every words he said

“But they’re the friends I have…” you said sadly and Youngjae shook his head. He held your face with both of his hands, rubbing his thumb on your cheeks ever so lightly

“You have me, and I can introduce you to my friends! They’re the kindest people I’ve ever known– and! Will never make you feel invalidated”

He placed a light kiss on her forehead, it felt like a feather just dropped by

“I love you so much, love”

end! sorry if this is bad lol. i wrote this feeling down bc i felt invalidated so this is vv self indulgent 😅 i might make another youngjae one that is better than this and *venting starts here* i just felt so invalidated earlier that i left the group chat :( i wanted comfort and a shoulder to cry on because it wasn’t the first time it happened and i just didn’t know how to confront them *venting ends* i wanted comfort and a shoulder to cry on and youngjae was the first one who came to mind; very chronically online i know lol but he just looks like the type of person to give the best comfort and hug, i love him so much no one will understand ☹️
