I don't agree with the chrono/mary/aion ot3. Personally, I like to think that everyone kind of loved Mary? Maybe not wholly romantic, but some semblance of it. A large portion of the fandom agrees that demons don't abide by human laws, so I say why not mass polyamory? (It's kind of a cheat to work in all my ships, but hey. Fanfiction, ya know?)

Mary is definitely closest to chrono and aion still, but also, let's work in some other sinners

Mary doesn't fight him like rizelle does, and he's not as head over heels with her as he is with rizelle. Still, he'd probably flirt by being an ass. Picking her up and joking about tossing her off Eden because he doesn't know how to initiate kind contact, stealing food from her, etc.

Viede is a softy. There was a fic that I read a while ago, not shipping them, but it still inspired a lot of my ideas about them? In it, he taught Mary how to play chess, she rode on his horse for parts of the search, etc. Other fluffy things. Also, size differences are cute.
