People who say they don't like or understand Tortured Poets are not listening!!! They are more focused on who is it about? or What about? They are not listening to the deep meaning, the lyrics, the absolute masterpiece of words and poems.

This is what she said it was, A manuscript, a collection of poems never meant to be seen in the light of day! The chaos, and Mania she went through. Its not meant for mainstream song’s or media like midnights.

This album is not a bob just meant to be listened like any other songs.

Like any poems its meant to be analyzed, to be sat on.

have you ever read a fanfic so good that you wanted to write a fanfic about that fanfic, but was too shy / too intimidated to ask for the author’s permission and too afraid that your writing wouldn’t be half as good as theirs and that it would be an insult to their work that was basically a literal masterpiece, so you just sat there fantasizing about their work and how beautiful it was and how you wished you could just eat it and how you wished canon could write your blorbos half as good as this writer did and how you just wanted to cry because you just loved that fic so much????

my initial interpretation of the album is that there are two parallel storylines: one is about her insanity (her rebound) and the other is about what got her there (the demise of her relationship). the album tries to prove that the former was not real love. he simply gave her the attention she craved while also being just as blue and self-sabotaging as her ex. the storylines converge halfway through the album, and the rest of the songs discuss her grief, rage, perseverance, and ultimate acceptance through gritted teeth.

I am WAY too excited for the release of TTPD which means ruining my sleep schedule, but 100% worth it 🤍🤍
