• Zayne stayed back in Snowcrest to help his prof with stuff but did anyone tell him that MC is going to N109 zone and putting herself in danger ? 🥲 I doubt, cuz he would come running back if he found out and stop her from going. What if he's worried sick and trying to reach her but can't get thru cuz regular Linkon network server don't work in N109.

• I can understand everyone is after Xavier cuz he's Lumiere but I'm super intrigued to find out why Raf has a bounty on his head. The World Underneath story where he talks to the hooded dude was super sus and ofc it's something to do with Lemuria.

• They said they're gonna be adding 'story branches' from sept ~ dec so basically route system? That would be super complicated imo cuz they will have to curate the story in different ways to fit the diff LIs tho that also reduces chances of Zayne just being sidelined in the main story. The LI switch screen shows "coming soon" and the red mark seems to be at halfway point so there's at least 1 more guy coming up if not 2. Perhaps they will get the new guy and after they're done introducing him, then they will start the branching.

• Now that we know that Sylus isn't the one who caused the explosion at MC's granny's house, I think it's most probably Carter's doing/ ppl from the Ever group. I don't remember the World Underneath Stories all that well so I will have to re read them to solidify the info in my head but I think all the researchers who worked on MC's aether core are all missing (?) So my inference is that Ever group was the one who lied to those researchers on some false pretext and then got them to experiment on MC (and possibly Sylus too). When the researchers found out about Ever's real motives for the experiment, they wanted to stop and then the Wanderer disaster happened and they got dispersed anyways. And now Ever wants to get hold of them to stop them from leaking info about that experiment and Ever's true motives and so they set up the explosion to get rid of Granny.

Gonna read more of the lore today and keep the brainrot going

Amanatsu

Amanatsu is a Visual Novel that is centered around the male protagonist Haruto who leaves his colourless city life and moves to the countryside, seeking enriching life experiences. The VN has 3 main female leads, namely Kazuha, Kogane and Yashiro, with one route for each of them.

(Spoiler text / CG so pls beware)

Most databases say that it has an average length of 20ish hours but the time taken of course increases or decreases depending on one's reading speed, owing to one's relative mental freshness or fatigue.

Day 1:

It's been off to a great start and lives up to the summer-y vibe that it promises to its audience. The characters are generally very warm and welcoming, given it's a rural setting where people are much closer to each other, with no digital walls separating them.

I was not expecting Haruto to be living with Kazuha though, so that came as a surprise. It obviously seems to gives Kazuha an advantage over the other two heroines, but her outright disinterest in romance somewhat makes up for it.

Kogane is the typical clingy imouto type and I don't really want to label her as ‘annoying’ s such, but she certainly is the high energy puppy type character. She speaks incredibly fast though, so hats off to her seiyuu Akino Hana. Sometimes I take a bit longer to read Kogane’s lines because she speaks so fast and my brain can't decide whether to focus my comprehension on the jp dialogues (contextually the most accurate) or the English text ( easier on the brain) 🤣.

Yashiro is the cool beauty and soft spoken type of heroine. Soft spoken usually evokes an association with timidness but she's far from that. She loves to joke and they're almost always ridiculous which is what I love about it. She doesn't try to force the jokes and they're just whack most of the time but Haruto's reactions to them is what fuels the comedy.

Another thing I really like so far is how natural the interactions feel. Especially so, with Hanayo san (Kazuha’s mother). Most teenage romance fiction tends to keep the parental interactions at bay, leaving the teenagers to their own devices. I wouldn't say it's necessarily a bad thing. In fact, even when there IS parental interaction, it is usually limited to the mother cooking when the protagonist leaves home in the morning for school or when he or she is back in the evening. In such scenarios, more often than not, after returning home from club or classes, the protagonist pretty much just goes up to their room and stays there except for dinner or some other minor interactions. More so for male protagonists/ characters.

However, in Amanatsu the interaction between Hanyo san and Haruto feels pretty natural. It makes it extra appealing for me because most of it is light hearted banter while Hanayo san also comes across as a kind caretaking adult who is actually involved, contrary to Haruto’s experiences with his biological parents back home.

Day 2:

The second day was pretty fun as well, there's an overnight camping trip with the cast. Pretty much basic activites for camping, there's barbeque and curry making, tent setting up and everyone just generally fooling around and enjoying each others' company. I'm upset they cut out Iorin's face out of the art tho, like why would you 😭

I'm doing Kogane's route first so her route pretty much started already.

Yep def on Kogane route. Finished all the choices now we just go with the flow. Like I said earlier, I don't want to call her annoying because she's really sweet, loving and genuine in her love and sunshine energy towards Haruto. We figure out that she's loney from within and is confused about how to handle her own feelings which scare her, because of the relationship between her parents who divorced 'amicably'.

Day 3:

It's a good route tho it feels a little long to me. To be honest whichever route I choose first in any VN so far has felt long just because I'm slightly fatigued by all the interactions in the common route. The others might not feel so long later because either I can skip the common routes or just start from the first choice save incase there won't be any new/ changed lines after I finished Kogane's route.

(for anyone reading this before they start playing Amanatsu- it will have some h scenes so please be prepared with earphones and whatnot. I anyways force skip all the h scenes in the vns I read because sometimes the all ages versions arent out/ available. Still gotta be careful of the CGs tho)

Day 4:

Did not even open Amanatsu or my VN folder because I was binge drawing a fem version of Zayne 😭😭 Hoping I'll finish at least Kogane route tmrw.

Just read Zayne's Medic of the Arctic and Dawnbreaker anecdotes and I can't play this game the same way ever again 💔🥲

They're just so damn cruel the tears won't stop. I need to know who came up with the LDS plot cuz they're insane with their imagination.

But one thing is constant in all the Zaynes across timelines. And it's that he's immensely kind.

I have a loose structure of the time lines in my head. It's not accurate ofc since getting a complete understanding of the LDS lore will take a while. ( It's literally just 6 months since the game released, and I still have a lot of memories/ audios left to hear. I haven't started with the other LIs yet either but I will eventually get to them). I really want to get to the bottom of everything and know how all the threads between mc and the boys tie up together in a knot but I still don't want LDS to end.

The loose structure of Zayne's timelines the way I see it:

Forseer (Philos, could be past/ coexisting with earth time-space)

↓

Medic of the arctic (earth, before meeting mc)

↓

Linkon Doctor (earth, current Zayne that we make memories with)

↓

Dawnbreaker (earth, parallel future/ coexisting with linkon doctor)

The thing in Dawnbreaker is slightly complicated cuz they're definitely still on earth but the interesting part is that it reminds me of the Fountain of Atei Project. Maybe the Ever group intervened too much. In Atei, they're trying to implant human consciousness into wanderers and protocore into humans so maybe this went out of control and the genes changed, turning a lot of humans into wanderers and it eventually destroyed linkon city and the earth. So now in a parallel universe branch where mc and earth couldn't "wake up", linkon city is a thing of the past and now Dawnbreaker lives in that destroyed world.

Also hit my pretty bad when I understood that Dawnbreaker dreams of Linkon Zayne and Medic of the Arctic dreams of Dawnbreaker killing Georgie.

(so everytime we get frisky and annoy him in Destiny Cafe, play kitty cards, catch plushies and make memories/ bonds, Dawnbreaker sees that and longs to feel the warmth of this world) 🥲🥲🥲

Medic of the Arctic first dreamt of killing many people = all the Abominations he killed,

Then next dream is him killing Georgie, means the people/ content of the dreams changes ever so slightly based on what the other time-space Zayne is doing🥲

>> I think mc was able to see Dawnbreaker/ all the Zaynes being able to see dreams of mc and each other is because of the "consciousness energy" that is left behind in the Deepspace tunnel that was recently mentioned in the interview blogpost after the 2.0 version update.
