the problem with genderbending kirk is you'd have to genderbend spock as well and vice versa so they could be space lesbians and not space straights

A common complaint I’ve seen about Star Trek is that there is a lack of regular female characters besides Uhura and sorta Chapel. Now, that can be attributed to 60s sexism, but TOS didn’t have an unlimited budget, so creating a female character would probably lead to the elimination of a male regular. Which is why I ask you…
