Random rant of why Luisa had to lost her powers first. And why her strong reaction was actually important for the plot.
So, people usually assume that Luisa lost her gift first because she used it the most. Which makes a great sense. But there's another thing I had think about.
According to Jessica's words, Luisa supposed to be "the rock of the family". And, according to all the information, they are an emotional support in difficult situations. Somehow who could look at it with a smile and let everyone cry in their shoulder. Luisa supposed to be that steady person who could handle anything without a second thought, being the emotional support during the hard times
But Luisa breaks down. So there's no one to actually windstand this all and help her family to stay on the ground.
Before some people would ask anything. Crying isn't her normal reaction
Family seems shocked at the dinner which wouldn't be the case if Luisa had showed her emotions often.
The fact that Luisa was breaking down during the movie shows how serious the problems are, since even the strongest out of them, who supposed to hold steady was unable to hide her feelings.
Felix: Good morning! Pepa, who hasn't had her morning coffee yet: Is it? Is it really?
[The morning after Mariano stayed with Dolores]
Mariano: I'm going to take a shower.
Dolores: No wait, don't go in here *picks up a handmade soap*
[Both come to Luisa's room]
Mariano, staring at Camilo and Isabela who had gather around carrying a plate with food and a book about construction: What is going on?!
Dolores: Just wait
Luisa: *Comes out*
Luisa: Ah, it's Saturday, isn't it?
Mariano: WHAT IS GOING ON???
Camilo, Isabela, Dolores and Luisa: It's time for the 'Who get to use Luisa's shower first' game
Pepa: Oh, hola, can I join too?
Agustin: DON'T FORGET ME!
Mirabel: Hey, I'm also in
Dolores: Hell no, Mirabel. You're her favourite. You're going to win automatically
Mariano: Wait, how many people are in the normal bathroom?
Dolores: It's currently free
Don't kill yourself, please.
