        Marius regards the older man with a long look, something akin to boredom but a sort of disbelief that Artem is taking this as seriously as he does. It’s amazing, somehow, how he’s managed to get this far and still not know what is considered “romantic” or amazing things to experience with a partner that they’re interested in.

        Pressing his knuckles against his cheek as he leans sideways in the chair, he arches a brow with a cat-like grin with a matching lidded grin.

@yiqiannian​ asked: Utau is managing to come up with the idea just for Christmas. A present before he leaves for his week long study at a Hero Agency. How she found the courage, almost a miracle, is something that keeps her going. Her heart beats fast when she comes up to their dorm, entering to excited classmates setting up decorations with Aizawa-sensei off to the side with Eri talking to Midoriya.

    It takes a few moments longer before the class realizes they have another guest among them. With none of her friends there to shield herself behind, Uraraka and Yaoyorozu helping her out with Iida enforcing that they shouldn’t crowd her. Most of them have seen her by now and shared greetings. However, Ashido giggles.

    “Todoroki-kun~ someone’s here to see you!”

    Utau turns pink, her hair down and lightly styled—pretty and out of her face with faint waves. She clutches the bag close to her chest, hiding the little present inside, wrapped in the same navy blue color as his hero uniform.                           》unprompted! always welcome

    Shouto never had much attachment to holidays. They were celebrated, but only really tolerated on his and Natsuo’s part for their sister. Some times Endeavor joined in, but thankfully his work kept him busy and out of their hair. That man didn’t deserve more celebration and praise.

    Feeling the tinsel in his hand start to melt, he passes it off to the closest person to him and begins to walk away. He needs a distraction before he actually catches on fire in frustration.

    It’s as he shoves his hands in his pockets that someone calls for him. Expecting to find the subject of his irritation coming for a visit, Shouto instead finds the one girl in his life that brings him any measure of peace. A slight smile tugs at his lips as he heads towards her, unclenching his jaw and forcing himself to just relax. Utau was like a rabbit, she’d sense the tension in his posture and be uncomfortable. He wasn’t about to cause any panic in her as he had before.

    “Hey, Utau-chan. I’m glad you could join us.” 

    By now, he knows that she doesn’t like to speak, especially around so many people. “Do you want to… help me prepare tea for everyone?” It’s the first thing he can think of, despite it not being what he was about to do.

        Her gaze lifts to the taller boy when he approaches her. There’s a faint heat that’s radiating off of him that she only tightens her hold on the present to her chest. Utau quizzically watches him, wondering what’s made him angry, even if he’s forced himself to relax.

        She gives him a small nod when he greets her. She makes another nod again when he asks for her help to make tea. Following him into the shared dormitory kitchen where she imagines the tea and tea sets are, the quiet of the kitchen calms her anxiety some, but doesn’t lessen the nerves she has in giving him a present. Still, he’s warm compared to how cold it is outside that she follows after him to keep to his warm side.

        The kitchen is quiet, muffled by walls that the excitable noises outside in the main room feels far away. Now, even if she speaks up, her soft voice is still easy to hear. She’s been in the kitchen before so she reaches around to pull out the teapot and the appropriate tea leaves, handing it to him. It’s only when she’s watching him prepare the tea that she gently tugs on his sleeve, standing close that she peers up.

        ❝Shouto-kun,❞ she whispers, blushing as she suddenly looks down. It’s almost as if the imaginary bunny ears have appeared as she frets in place. It takes a few moments longer before she offers him the gift. Her voice is barely audible when she squeaks out, ❝Merry Christmas.❞

        There, she managed to give him the gift and now her heart is about to explode. And her face is burning from her nerves alone.
