“You're my medicine” — Kim Mingyu

Sure, Mingyu is the one to fall sick most of the time and you always stay by his side, cook for him, give him medicines on time, take day offs from work, until and unless he gets fully recovered. But, when it comes to you, it's more like you have to be prepared because Mingyu will cling onto you like a koala, kiss you all over your face, also scold you a little because you never really tell him that you're sick as he is already busy with schedules and do twice the work you do until you get recovered. Ofcourse he gets more sick than you after.

Not long after your colleagues called Mingyu over to pick you up, he arrives at your office and there you were; sniffing, coughing and curled up on your chair.

Mingyu's face softens at the view. As he sits infront of you, on the floor, it doesn't take long for him to realise you're not even able to speak or open your eyes completely.

His heart drops as he stares at you, silence takes over the room.

You slightly open your eyes and find a similar figure infront of you, making the corners of your lip curve into a weak smile.

"love..." you speak, your voice more like a whisper.

"Why didn't you tell me?" said Mingyu, his voice more disappointed and upset than mad.

You slowly try to get your hand out of the layers of blankets you had wore – to feel warm, reaching out for his hand.

Mingyu holds your hand and stares at you, with sad and concerned eyes. He feels your hands as warm as a cup of hot coffee.

You take a deep breathe before speaking, "I was planning to tell you... you just got a vacation after such a tough schedule, do you think I'm that bad of a girlfriend to ruin it for you by making it about me?" in the most raspy and breathy voice ever.

You softly try to laugh it off but your throat makes you cough instead.

"And you think I'm that bad of a boyfriend to enjoy my vacation while the love of my life is here, having a severe cold, even unable to open her eyes or speak properly?" said Mingyu, in a serious tone as his eyes were pierced to your face.

His gaze cold yet soft, his expression unexplainable.

You squeeze his hand and speak, "It's really okay, trust me.."

"No, it's not." said Mingyu as he was removing the layers of blanket you were wearing.

You keep staring at him softly as he focuses on taking his coat off and placing it around your shoulders.

Mingyu looks at you, but this time, his eyes were at ease, relaxed and soft.

"I'm sorry, love." said Mingyu as he caresses your hair, "I just can't stand seeing you in a state where you need to be taken care of and I'm not there for you." proceeded Mingyu.

His words sounded sincere and calm, his voice in a very low tone, but enough for you hear his soft voice.

You smile and caress his cheeks. "I know, you don't have to apologise."

Mingyu softly smiles and holds your arm to help you get up.

Once you both arrive home, Mingyu quickly gets a blanket and wraps it around you and carries you to the bedroom.

As he places you on the bed, he sits close to you and leans to brush your hair back to feel your forehead.

Ofcourse, it was as warm as boiling water. Or even worse.

"I already bought all the medicines you need on the way here including medicines for fever, coughs, sore throat, cold and I have warm water filled in this jar for you, make sure to drink it from time to time, okay? promise me you won't miss any of these things?" said Mingyu, faster than ever in one breath as he puts out his pinky finger forward.

You sigh and put your hand below his ear, "Calm down baby, It's not like I'm running away from you, am I?" you spoke as you stroke his soft and smooth skin.

Mingyu places his hands on yours and brings it to your forehead.

"Do you feel this?" said Mingyu before moving your hand, "Do you think I can calm down in this situation, love?" proceeded Mingyu.

You slightly look down and sigh, "I'm sorry... I always make you feel panicke-" before you could finish off your sentence, Mingyu cuts you off by placing his lips onto yours.

"Don't you dare think like that babe." said Mingyu as he was away from you just by an inch.

You stare at his eyes for a split second before looking away and smiling.

"Are you planning to get sick aswell?" you speak in a playful tone.

"Hm. As long as I can be by your side and help you recover." said Mingyu, caressing your hair.

You blush like an idiot. Though you think he won't notice as your face was already bright pink due to your fever, you were wrong.

Mingyu stares at you as if you are the most precious thing ever (you are <3) and definitely notices your face turning more redder and redder each second.

Mingyu quickly wraps one of his arms around your waist and one behind your head and pulls you close.

You lean your head on his chest and hear a similar rhythm and beat travelling through your ears, like soft music; his heartbeat.

"Do you want something to eat? I'll go and cook." said Mingyu as he moves a hair strand behind your ear.

You quickly shake your head as a no, "Just stay here and cuddle." you speak with your eyes closed, ready to fall asleep any moment.

Mingyu chuckles and covers both of you with a blanket. "I see, I work better than a medicine, hm?" said Mingyu before kissing your temple.

You smile and caress the side of his neck as you reply,

"You're my medicine."

What could possibly soothe Minghao the most when he is worn out from rigorous practices, hectic schedules, and—most importantly—being away from you because of concert tours?

Your voice.

He would frequently call you to see how you were doing and, more importantly, just to hear your voice. It's like a natural remedy for his problems. Sounds corny? It's really not. At least not for Minghao.

Furthermore, you are fully aware that the moment your voice reaches his ears, he literally melts. Taking full advantage of it to comfort him whenever he is feeling down is your (not-so) secret weapon. There are times when you would hum a song and he would drift off to sleep peacefully in your arms.

Even when you're (lovingly) scolding him, he chuckles to himself because you and your voice? Adorable. He would sometimes ask you to say something or hum a song so he could relax by listening to your voice.

Not when you do this though...

"Love?"

"Hm?"

"Can you say something? Even just a single word."

"...horanghae?"

Because now, he is just sulking. But he loves it, though. You and your ways of teasing him.

As much as it sounds exaggerated. Maybe he is just as addicted to your voice as he is to you. He doesn't appear to be that type of person, but you know he is the biggest softie for you.

You joyfully walk down the street toward your house, beaming with delight at the sight of it.

Indeed, the day at the gathering today was incredibly exhausting. Maybe being an actress wasn't so great as you thought, but you love being one. And, as Jeonghan always says, the most important thing is to love and enjoy your profession, regardless of what it is. And you really don't disagree. You love and enjoy what you are and doing right now, but it is okay to feel... I don't know, tired? sometimes. Despite all of this, there is nothing more comforting than being at home, especially with your loved one.

You carefully grasp the pastry box in your arms as you open the door.

"I'm home-"

"Welcome," To your surprise, Jeonghan was standing and leaning against the wall to greet you. He usually waits for you in the living room, so you flinch, not expecting him to be there.

"Were you waiting for me here?" Taking off your shoes on the shoe rack, you ask. Taking the pastry box from your hand and setting it on the coffee table, Jeonghan nodded.

"I watched the last episode," Jeonghan sat down on the couch, "of the drama." he finished his sentence as his gaze fixed on you. You looked up at him, "You did?" you smiled as you took the pastry box.

"Did you enjoy it?" you asked, placing the pastry box in the fridge. "No." Jeonghan's voice sounded stern and direct as he kept staring at you. You turned around to face him, "Why?" you pout as you walk towards him. "Was my acting bad?"

Jeonghan looked away as you sat next to him. "Is that really the case?" you asked, tilting your head and sighing as you looked away. "I also think that my acting has gotten worse," you say with sentimentality.

"That's not what I meant," Jeonghan paused, "the reason is something else." he added. "Then, what could the reason be?" You mumble, purposefully making yourself heard by him.

You really knew what could make him this sulky; the kiss scene at the end. Additionally, you knew that he didn't even mind it because he knows that you would never kiss someone else—the angle of the camera just creates the illusion that you are kissing. It is just his way of receiving extra affection from you (and you love his ways).

"I really can't think of it..." you sigh. "Well- it was the... ending." Jeonghan stumbled, trying not to make himself sound too obvious. You tried your hardest not to burst into laughter as you stared at his pouty, sulky face.

"Maybe I'll figure it out later." you spoke, getting up from the couch to leave. "No-," Jeonghan held your wrist to stop you from walking away. "Why don't you... try thinking now?" he stammered, avoiding eye contact. As you sat down, you could not help but laugh at how adorable he was.

Caressing his cheeks, you spoke, "I know exactly which scene you mean." you chuckled. Jeonghan pressed his face deeply into your palm to cover up his flushed cheeks.

Jeonghan is rarely the one who is shy and flustered, but when he is, he is the cutest thing ever.

He gives you a bear hug and presses his face into your neck as you lean in to kiss his pinkish cheek. "You know that I would never do that right? It was the camera angle." you spoke, gently. Jeonghan nodded.

"Seeing the people ship you both made me..."

"Jealous?" you giggled.

"It's not like that!" With a protest, Jeonghan pressed his face further into your neck. "There is nothing to be jealous about," you reply, gently pressing your cheek against his head.

"what the world doesn't know is that, I'm yours." You continued, earning a giggle from Jeonghan.

"We should've been more careful," you said, referring to how you almost got caught kissing.

Jun washed his hands in the sink and dried them with a towel.

"We really should've," Jun sighed as he approached you from behind and peered over your shoulder to see how you were doing.

With a gentle smile, you leaned into his touch as his hands encircled your waist.

"Is this okay?" You asked, gesturing to the freshly prepared fishcake. He smiled and nodded, reaching over to give you a cheek kiss.

"Ah, you, Moon Junhu-" The door swung open, revealing Seungkwan, and you both flinched at the sudden shouting. When you turned to face the unexpected sound, Seungkwan was standing there with his mouth open and his eyes wide.

"Hey, can't you guys hurry u-"

Arriving in the kitchen as well, Dino dropped his phone to the ground in shock. You simply grinned sheepishly.

What else can you do?

"Oh. My. God." Both of them managed to choke out the words in unison. You couldn't make out if they were shocked, traumatized, or both. Seungkwan dramatically covered Dino's eyes before covering his own.

"You're too young for this, Dino."

Sighing, Jun swiftly withdrew his hands from you and moved away. "Come on, guys, it's not a big deal..."

Seungkwan screamed, causing you to flinch again. "Oh god, I don't know what I might have done so devilish to see this sight unfold before my eyes," Seungkwan exaggerated, folding his hands together to emphasize his statement.

"Hey, Seungkwan, calm down," you say, setting the fishcake aside.

Dino slowly picked up his phone, still staring at you both as if he had just seen a ghost. "I just wanted some food..." He muttered innocently, holding his phone firm against his chest.

They both were just being dramatic. Maybe they still weren't able to digest the fact that Jun was dating someone, who happened to be you. It was a big shock, afterall. It was also the second time they caught you in a lighthearted, lovey-dovey act, whereas the first was much more chaotic.

Of course, it was Seungkwan who first barged in and caught you two about to kiss, which was cut short by his screaming. Dino soon followed into the room, and you knew that there was no turning back now.

They agreed to keep it a secret from the other members, but only if you and Jun prepared them a delicious meal for them. This is how you ended up spending your lovely afternoon in the kitchen together.

Dino slowly tip-toed his way towards you, side eyeing Jun while Seungkwan just stood where he was, flabbergasted.

"Hey, what's with that look?" With a frown, Jun moved to face him, but Dino simply moved away.

"You guys can continue," Dino said, looking over to the fishcakes and then at you with a sly smile. "We're just here for a taste."

Hearing this, Seungkwan dashed towards Dino, grabbing his arm and tugging on it. "No, let's just go, I'm scared." Glancing between you and Jun, he said.

"But-"

"Let's go!"

After giving you both a wink, Seungkwan dragged Dino—who was furiously protesting—out of the kitchen. "Moon Junhui!" Seungkwan called out, startling you both. "I thought I was your favourite person, you wound my heart!" He let out a dramatic cry, but then grinned slyly before gesturing with his hands and mouthing, 'Continue, continue.' and left the kitchen, closing the door.

You noticed the way Jun's cheeks turned a soft shade of pink at that, and you couldn't hold back your laugh. "Can you believe him? He is so silly,"

Jun simply hummed in response and moved closer to you, resting his hands on your hip. And it was enough to tell you that he was getting shy.

He gave you a soft peck on the forehead before removing his hands and walking over to the counter.

"Let's get this over with," he said, placing the pan on the stove. "Then we can go out for a walk." He continued, speaking softer toward the end. Walking over to stand next to him, you smile.

"Wait," Jun turned to you. "We didn't finish what we were supposed to do,"

You raise your eyebrow in confusion, "What were we supposed to do?"

With his eyes darting to your lips, he leaned closer to your face.

"This."

Your lips curved into a smile at the realisation. you give a nod. "Go on." You say, earning a grin from him.

He leaned in closer, his lips almost touching yours, but then the sound of music drifting in from the guest room interrupted. Seungkwan and Dino's singing soon followed, indicating that they were performing karaoke.

You turned your head toward the sound, which was muffled by the door, before returning your gaze to Jun.

"I thought they barged in again," you say, widening your eyes and laughing softly.

"Me too," Jun chuckled, wrapping his arms around your waist. He pulled you closer and softly placed his lips onto yours before slightly pulling away.

"But I won't let it interrupt us." With a sly smile, he said, your laughter soon following.

When they have a crush on reader but are still not sure about confessing they get jealous when they saw that she is really close with her guy best friend (but in a platonic/sibling way) So they get jealous because their crush and her friend are so close but they are not.
