He's just a pathetic little guy, and you like that in a man.

Truly, he tried to "impress you with some magic" the first time you met and he was such a spectacular failure, it was almost charming.

Cute as he accidentally sent himself flying upward in a panic, hitting a tree limb and knocking himself unconscious.

He was not awake to witness your laughing as Holga carried his limp, dirt covered body back to the horses.

Also very charming that he outright asked your permission to court you, with a bundle of wildflowers her spent an hour rooting through for the nicest ones.

He always makes sure to ride or walk beside you so you can talk while journeying.

Is the one to ask you to "officially" join their adventuring party because of your "indispensable skillset we have been utterly lacking"

Not to say this all went smoothly, "cute klutz" can go so far but his pessimism towards everything can grate on your nerves horribly at times. Especially when you try to talk him up and tell him otherwise and he shoots you down on everything.

He is also a pushover and despite complaining about the group making him pay for a round of drinks or dinner, he doesn't actually try to stop it.

Sometimes you'll lightly wack him upside the head for that, and then he wont stop quietly complaining how you wounded him

He is ecstatic and flabbergasted when you actually agree to him courting you, he's not sure what to do. Never thought he'd get this far.

He asks Doric what to do, or more, what he did wrong when attempting to court her.

Edgin unhelpfully praises him during that, telling him to "Learn from you failures, or you'll never stop failing.

Simon definitely grows on you though, he's enjoyable to be around for the most part, rather sensible, and rather cute when he smiles as something actually goes right for once.

He truly tries his best while courting you, attempting (failing) to be romantic, showing you he would be a good partner, absolutely floored when you return some of those actions with your own.

He is your personal hype man. Talks you up to anyone there to listen, how good you are in battle, in your skillset, and anything else even if you're really not.

He's a wizard, wizard's are very squishy, and he all but swoons when you protect him in the midst of battle. Successfully hits his target while fully distracted watching at you.

Very flustered and keeps asking the others "You saw that right? They were protecting me, you saw that? What do you think it means?"

"Aren't you already courting?"

Ever the gentleman and will offer you his supplies while camping, from his food to his cloak if you're cold, while he is visibly freezing and already singed the edges with a warming spell.

Instead you offer to cuddle him by the fire *that Holga started* and he's sure the blood rushing to his face will keep him plenty warm, thank you.

Extremely faithful and only has eyes for you, Doric says it's gross and asks how you can stand it. Edgin helps him write a song for you.

He tries to serenade you with it, and it is. Horrid. Clenching your teeth listening to him until he realizes how bad this is going and stops. You try to tell him it wasn't that bad but the chorus of your friends chiming in with their honest reviews-

One day you tell him "I think this courtship is going well." and he falls off the rock he was sitting next to you on.

Love is not mentioning that as you offer him a hand back up. He is feeling GREAT the rest of the day.

"Natsu Dragneel!! If you don't give me my house key, I'll break you down into a fraction!" You yelled as you chase after Natsu.

Natsu just laughs and stick his tongue out at you. "Just try me y/n!" He yelled. Happy only watched the show with a fish in his mouth.

As you was about to grab his scarf to pull him down, he turned around, making you bump into his chest.

With a big grin on his face, he raised your key up high in the air. "You can only have it, if you can get it." He waved the key around.

"Natsu just give me the key!" You placed your hand on his shoulder and try jumping up to grabbed the key, but it was too high.

You was about to yell at Natsu again but an idea came into mind. You put your hands on his warm cheeks.

Natsu gave you a confused look until you brought his face down to your level and kiss him. This took him by surprise. You took this time to bring his arm down and take the key out of his hand.

You pulled away from the kiss and waved the key around. "Thank you for the key Natsu!" You smiled.

"Huh..?" Natsu is still proceeding of what just happened.

in which: bakugou only shows his dimples around you

sfw, fluff, dialogue heavy, humour, this is a quick drabble i whipped up from an idea i created ages ago bc my 8k word bkg fic WON'T POST AGHHH!

"i love dimples, they're so cute!" mina squeals from beside you whilst you were hunched over the dorm's coffee table, finishing outstanding calculus questions you hadn't completed during class.

"me too," you absentmindedly murmur, reaching for your calculator to input a definite integral. "people say that they are kisses from angels, as if that isn't the cutest thing ever."

the pink-haired wails, "stop it! i wish i had dimples."

"if you try hard enough, then maybe," you snort before turning the page of your maths textbook. "i remember people would press pencils to their cheeks to make it appear. it would work for like five minutes."

"well, duh they're not gonna be permanent, i'm not that stupid."

"you always ask me what two plus five is."

"uncalled for, that's not the same!" mina slaps the back of your head, causing you to hold it whilst hissing in pain.

"okay, i'm sorry!" you exclaim, shielding yourself in case she hits you again.

thankfully, mina is pacified again, returning her chin to her palm as she fiddles with her nails. she remains quiet for a few minutes, allowing you to concentrate on your work before she pipes up again. "jirou has cute dimples."

you hum in agreement. "yaomomo too, on both cheeks," you add.

"kaminari too!"

"and bakugou."

mina darts up, back now as straight as a pole as she gawks at you with the weirdest expression. did you grow two heads or something? what was so weird about bakugou having dimples?

"no he does not!" counters mina.

"he does! on his right cheek!" you even point to it for good measure. "surprised me too when i saw it for the first time but it's actually really prominent! i don't know how we never noticed it before."

"you're lying to me. bakugou katsuki could never have dimples, he's too evil for that."

"he's not that evil."

"are we talking to the same bakugou? he threatened to blow me up the other day."

you laugh at the memory, an action mina doesn't appreciate. "i was there for that. anyways. his dimple is just something he's born with, it's not ordained by personality, what's the big deal?"

"what part of bakugou being too evil to have something as pure as a dimple do you not understand?"

your homework now lays unfinished and forgotten as you begin having a quarrel about your classmate and the mystery surrounding a feature that was given to him from birth. the blond shows it quite often, how come mina's not seeing it?

she then begins pulling up numerous photos and selfies; none of which have the evidence of bakugou's dimples. you furrow your brows in confusion, swiping through and zooming in to no avail of finding any remnants of a dimple.

strange.

you know you can't be imagining this.

"yo mina, y/n!" a deep, raspy voice comes from the entrance of the common room. you both turn around in shock to see your fellow red-haired classmate approaching.

immediately, you turn off mina's photo to rid any evidence of your previous conversation. because wherever kirishima is, bakugou normally follows.

"i'm gonna kick your ass in mario kart!" comes an explosive voice from behind. there he was.

kirishima leans over the couch where mina was sitting on. "what are you both up to?"

"oh y/n and i were just chilling. why?"

"oh bakugou and i just wanted to play a round of mario kart, that's all! hope we're not bothering you."

you pipe up from where you were still trying to figure out maths equations, "mina talks my ear off whilst i'm trying to solve these questions. i think i'll be okay with you two."

before mina could slap the back of your head again, a shadow looms your textbook and tufts of blond hair appear in the corner of your eye.

"you got that wrong," bakugou says after not even two seconds of reading your equation.

"eyes off my book," you exclaim, about to cover the pages with your hands when the explosion-quirk user snatches it away from under you. he continues reading through it like it was some newspaper article.

he does this all with a proud smirk on his face. "question 2 wrong, question 7 wrong, question 15 wrong," rambles your classmate, ignoring the way you were demanding it back.

"i'm going to fuck you up. give me back my book."

"damn your handwriting is messy."

your punch his arm lightly. he laughs at the impact, uneffected. "yours is illegible!" you shout back, challenging him with a nasty glare.

mina and kirishima watch with amused expressions at the disputation occurring in front of them. however, the pink-haired feels the world stop for a moment when she notices something very interesting.

a dimple. on bakugou's right cheek. just like you said.

something she has never seen before.

then she notices the way he looks at you. despite teasing you and making fun of you, there's an undeniable look of fondness evident in his eyes, one that grows the more you threaten him with unspeakable acts of violence.

his smirk grows softer, becoming that of a lopsided grin when bakugou gives you your textbook, confessing that none of the questions were wrong and that he was just 'messin' around'.

as it turns out... bakugou katsuki does have dimples, but they only appear around you.

levy giggled “oh those two? this has been happening for a while around this time every year since they’ve been together this happens. crazy right?”

lucy looked at her with a grin “well it can’t hurt to ask right!” levy nodded along flashing her own grin.

you watched as lucy and levy walked over to your table, their smiles quickly fading away and replaced with faces of genuine concern “hey y/n are you okay? levy and i noticed you’re limping and we were wondering if you were okay?”

laxus started laughing beside you, his loud and boisterous laughter echoed throughout the guildhall while your cheeks grew warm with embarrassment “oh well it was because of a quick job-”

“well i wouldn’t exactly call that one a quickie-” he said while trying to hold in his laughter, but he was failing miserably as he let a few snickers out.

“LAXUS.” you sent him a glare and pinched his thigh which caused him to shoot you a glare right back “WHAT WAS THAT FOR?” “WHAT DO YOU THINK.”

mira peaked over from the bar “didn’t you two know?” clearly overhearing the conversation the four of you had mira chimed in to clear some confusion but, no cheap lie was going to spare you this time.

“it’s mating season for dragon slayers! cute right!” she smiled brightly while you looked at her in horror. while lucy and levy were of course grown you saw them as younger sisters and in turn they saw you as an older sibling, and this conversation would be embarrassing for any sibling to have, regardless as they are grown it wasn’t long before they put two and two together.

lucy and levy turned their heads towards you in tandem after hearing what mira had to say “WHY DIDN’T YOU SAY SO??” the two shouted in union their faces beet red.

laxus put a hand on your head with a lazy grin “because unfortunately for you they have a soft spot for you two and see both of you as younger sisters, me however i don’t have that problem so if you’re so curious yes we fucked.”

you stared at him in horror first mira now this? could this day couldn’t get any worse truly.

“i hate you so much.”

“oh? that’s not what you said yesterday.”
