I can't believe we lost to a war movie. The message of Argentina 1985 is something that was never seen in any other film at the Oscars because it didn't happen in any other country. We were the only country that made, and won, a civil lawsuit against dictators. This is something important that must be shown, that democracy is fragile and we must protect it . All quiet on the western front is a great movie, don't get me wrong, but we've seen these kinds of movies before. Argentina 1985 deserved to win.
