Hey! I thought you were an anon when you sent the ask to screnwriter about the difference of loving someone vs. being IN love, so I replied to her instead of you and then I saw I could just send it to you instead lol! Keep in mind, the answer is gonna be different for everyone, but in my experience it's like this:

Loving someone is how I feel about my friends and family. I enjoy spending time with them, want to be around them, and care about them. I'd do almost anything for them and want them to be happy.

Being IN LOVE with someone is... all consuming. I feel it in every fiber of my being. I would do anything for that person (or, in my case, my pets as well haha), and I get excited when their name lights up my phone. It's almost a physical pain in my chest, but the good kind, the addictive kind, the kind I never want to go away. I want to share the good, the bad, the ugly, and everything in between with the person/people I'm in love with. I can't stress enough the all consuming bit---I feel it everywhere, and I can't stop, don't want to stop.

I hope that helps at least a little! Good luck with your writing

omg thank you so much!! that actually helps a ton!!
