About time I see something on my TL that is not blatant Sukuna slander.

I feel like this Quote tweet in addition to the given thread perfectly summarises why a character like Sukuna intrigues me so much. He's like a complex puzzle piece we've yet to solve. An enigma of conflicting sides.

Despite my best efforts i still can't picture his backstory and motivations fully yet. I just hope that whatever Gege has planned for his backstory, it thoroughly shoves my heart through the meat grinder :') Hopefully, it is well thought-out and ties in nicely with his character. It's about time we get to know why he turned out the way he has. And i am DYING to know what Sukuna knows about "Love" ..

The Origin of Infinity—Satoru and the Ancestor Hunt

So, if Kakashi is around Satoru’s age, then they probably grew up together, for some value of together.

He probably turns his Sharingan on once just to mess with his arrogant cousin, but only for like—a second. Just to see Satoru do a double take.

Having a perfect memory doesn’t mean you can’t doubt it, after all. Especially when what catches your eye is unbelievable.

Tobi catches sight of Satoru through their shared eyes, though, and he starts haunting Satoru in the hopes of meeting Kakashi again.

Finding his partner would be so much easier if only Kakashi would keep his Sharingan on!

Satoru, for his part, has no idea who this Special Grade curse that keeps calling him “Not-Sukea” and the Gojo “Sukea’s descendants” is.

The following confrontation happens at some point.

Tobi, voice mournful and posture an exaggerated slump, said, “Tobi thinks that Sukea’s descendants are being very mean to Tobi! Tobi just wants to see his lovely, incredible, stunning spouse again, but Sukea’s descendants keep hiding Sukea from Tobi.”

Tobi jolted upright again, and jabbed an accusatory finger at Satoru. “Tobi knows Not-Sukea has met Sukea, and since Tobi has been a good boy and not attacked anyone, Not-Sukea should tell Tobi where Sukea is! If Not-Sukea doesn’t, well...”

Tobi leaned in towards Satoru, phasing forwards, forwards, forwards—right through Infinity, as if it didn’t exist.

His hand reached out. “Tobi would like to remind Not-Sukea that Not-Sukea is one of Sukea’s descendants.”

Impossibly enough, the hand reached Satoru’s cheek, but it didn’t touch him—instead it went through him, as if Satoru’s body was the empty space of Infinity.

“And Sukea was Tobi’s spouse, so by definition, Sukea’s descendants are also Tobi’s descendants.”

Fingers erupted from Satoru’s cheekbone, curling inwards, as if Satoru’s eye rested in the palm of the hand and it intended to scoop.

But it didn’t hurt.

There were fingers coming out of Satoru’s face, and it didn’t hurt.

Tobi’s voice abruptly dropped an octave, into a growl that should have reverberated through Satoru’s bones at such close quarters, but didn’t, because nothing was touching Satoru.

“And it wasn’t Sukea that you inherited your eyes from.”

The fist closed.

Satoru froze, unwilling to so much as breathe, lest his eye be torn from its socket. An icy chill seemed to have settled at the base of his spine, like a shiver had contained itself out of sheer terror.

Then the crushing feeling of rage emanating from Tobi vanished, the fist unfurled, and Tobi’s voice was once again cheery.

“But! Sukea would be very unhappy with Tobi if Tobi hurt our beautiful grand babies, so Tobi shall be nice to Not-Sukea! Next time, though, Not-Sukea should tell Tobi where Sukea is. Tobi is not know for being patient!”

Thus begins a conspiracy wherein Satoru and his friends, Geto and Ieiri, try to figure out which ancestor it is that Satoru inherited his eyes from specifically, and who this random Special Grade Curse is. And also the mystery of Gojo Sukea. Having his eye nearly plucked by a being which surpasses his Infinity would definitely take Satoru’s ego down a few notches.
