Ned studies I did based on the episodes “Headless Lester” “My How You’ve Grown” and “Canadian Bacon.” He’s so fun to draw :3
The human pack mule from Nightmare Ned. He’s a character that stuck out to me as of recently, originating from the Attic, Basement and Beyond nightmare portion of the game.
This drawing is based on Nightmare Ned concept art by Walt Dohrn! I like this more simplistic, earlier design of Ned, he looks friend shaped.
Made this The Little Rascals (1994) X Nightmare Ned fanart! Ned’s wearing Uh-Huh’s outfit since his voice actor (Courtland Mead) played Uh-Huh in the 1994 film! Also a change in watermark to keep it a bit more simple.
Just a bored looking ghost from Nightmare Ned. He can be found in a tree you have to climb as part of the graveyard nightmare in the game, along with his other buddies.
Goofy ahh Ned expressions from the game, specially the school nightmare. In the principal’s office you might end up being whacked with a diploma lol! The other two expressions on the right are studies from the Nightmare Ned episode “Ants.”
Some art I did a few months ago of a Needlemeyer family portrait! This is based on one that can be seen in the TV series, but is in such low quality. I redrew it myself and based the character designs on those from the game!!
Before I forget, I wanted to share this drawing I made of the shadow creatures from Nightmare Ned some time ago!! Separate drawings below.
This trailer right here?? THIS is where I first heard of Nightmare Ned as a kid. I was 2-3 years old at the time I saw this (circa 2002-2003) and it was one of the previews of The Jungle Book 1997 VHS, which I still own to this day. This would scare the life out of me back then and I got uncomfortable every time I saw it. Specifically, the parts with the drain snake and moving bathtubs near the end were what frightened me most.
My sister was into the franchise for some time when I was 9-10 years old (circa 2010) and I then grew less afraid. She would listen to the soundtrack from the game (The Rat Tango was in my head for some time then lol) and I also remember her watching the episode “Canadian Bacon.”
It wasn’t until earlier this year that I shared a link to this trailer in a Discord server I was in. I was then sent a playlist of the Nightmare Ned TV series in its entirety. I binged the series, played the game, and the rest is history. :3
Just some Nightmare Ned gifs I made one day, enjoy :3
This beaver-like creature from Nightmare Ned has crossed my mind for the last few months lol. I had an itch to draw him for a while and I’m glad I finally did!!
The Cat Mask Man from Nightmare Ned. Another character from the game that catches my eye every time I play. The dog in the bag is cute too :3
Gonna go ahead and announce this!! I'm doing a challenge I call NedTober where I draw/post one Nightmare Ned drawing based on these prompts throughout the month of October!! I've already finished the first 6, but they won't be posted until the appropriate dates :3
NedTober day 1: Bed
My favorite part of the day tbh :3
NedTober day 2: Fear
To ordinary people, shadows are nothing to fear. To Ned, however, they’re pure nightmare fuel. Don’t worry, he’ll find a way out of this. :3
NedTober Day 3: Game
Finally! You get to see footage of the Bandit Ricky game itself!! Ned’s eager to finish this level before bedtime!
NedTober Day 4: Friend
Hear me out on this one: Ned and Billy Blackbeard would be good friends… eventually. Billy just has to stop calling Ned “melon head” first.
NedTober Day 5: Monster
Monster Ned tries to scare Conrad and Vernon as revenge for picking on him!! I’m not sure if they’re too intimidated…
NedTober Day 6: Yo-Yo
Ned’s learned a new yo-yo trick!! He spent all day learning this one, it looks like the string is forming a double helix!!
NedTober Day 7: Family
Here’s the Needlemeyer family posing to maybe have a picture taken in their living room!
