A Monster Calls - Tumblr Posts

One of my favourite books of all time.

There is not always a good guy. Nor is there always a bad one. Most people are somewhere in between.
Patrick Ness, A Monster Calls đľâď¸.
I think that my favourite genre is âwhat the fuck is wrong with the forestâ

ââStories are wild creatures,â the monster said. âWhen you let them loose, who knows what havoc they might wreak?ââ
From A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
Here's a game: If you had to convince someone to read a book with only one line out of said book, which one would you use?
An absolutely gorgeous novel and film, the animation and art style for the monster and the tales were fantastic!

The guts of the monster!
Aesthetically Pleasing movies II
1. The green knight

This movie is breathtakingly beautiful and strangely unique. A real gem. Please watch it. A must see for arthouse lovers.
2. The Fountain

This has to be one of the most underrated movies ever. And oh my god..it is otherworldly beautiful.
3. The Lighthouse

Still beyond me why this hasn't got an Oscar. The acting is incredible. And it has this unique old vintage horror movie flair which i can't even describe.
4. 2001 Space Odyssey

A classic for a reason. Truly visionary in it's cinematography.

One day⌠if you look back and you feel bad for being so angry⌠you couldnât even speak to me, you have to know that was okay⌠That I knew. Because I know everything you need to tell me without you having to say it out loud. And if you need to break things⌠By God you break them. Break them good and hard. And Iâll be right there, Con. I wish I had a hundred years. A hundred years I could give to you. A Monster Calls (2016), dir. J. A. Bayona

How can a Prince be a murderer and beloved by his people? How can an Apothecary be evil tempted but right thinking? How can invisible men make themselves more lonely by being seen? Because humans are complicated beasts. You believe comforting lies while knowing full well the painful truth that makes those lies necessary. In the end, Conor, it is not important what you think. It is only important what you do.
