Considering it was announced at TGS, where every previous new AA game was announced, I so genuinely think it could be AA7

I definitely think the localization of AAI2, and remaster of the duology, was for the purpose of having every single Ace Attorney game be accessible before the release of AA7

also possibly? maybe? AAI2 charas in AA7?? And thats another reason it got localized.
