The midday sun beats directly onto your exposed back, gleaming beautifully off a thin sheen of sunscreen. You’ll need to reapply if you plan to stay out much longer, but you don’t seem to give a damn whether you toast or burn.
How long have you been outside? Jin wonders from afar.
Based on the reddening hue of your skin—pretty long. Your lilac bikini top is lightly bunched in your left hand, straps dangling onto the ground. Sandals are happily forgotten at the foot of your lounger. Hair is damp from a recent dive in the neighboring pool.
Jin steps out of your summer condo and pads his way over, quiet as can be. Are you asleep? Your laying figure looks relaxed and you haven’t moved a muscle in at least five minutes. You aren’t snoring like you usually do. Your eyes are hidden behind oversized sunglasses, shiny and red like a candied apple.
He sits across from you on a nearby lounger.
“Take a picture, it’ll last longer.” You flash him a lazy smirk and pull down your shades. “You spying on me again, Mr. Kim?”
“Me, a spy?” He can’t stop his smile from peeking out. “I was admiring from afar, actually.”
“And?” You adjust your posture to see him better, rolling onto your side, paying no mind to the fact that your bare chest is now fully exposed. Your nose crinkles as Jin becomes shy and looks over towards the pool.
“Not bad,” he laughs, still avoiding your eyes.
