it happened while everyone was working on a group project

Aizawa decided to take this time to curl up in his sleeping bag

no one knew the two of you were siblings by the way as you didn’t want them to think that you were getting special attention

so when someone said something that triggered something in you, you looked down and tried to breathe

you weren’t sure where this would lead to but now was the worst possible time

you couldn’t rely on your brother, not in front of everyone

you didn’t want to disturb him from his sleep either

but as time passed, it felt like it was only getting worse

you could feel your throat tightening, fearing that someone would ask you a question only for you to answer with a croak

your vision was starting to blur and you sat up from your seat, leaving the class without excusing yourself

hearing your name being called out, Aizawa’s eyes snapped open and looked at your empty desk

you wouldn’t have just gone to the bathroom, you would’ve told him like a regular student would

that meant that this was something else

trying to not look to worried, Aizawa told the class that he’d be back

he went to the girls’ bathroom first and called out your name from outside the door

he couldn’t hear anything but he didn’t want to waste his time by looking outside either

he had to get to you as quickly as he could

you generally hid in bathroom stalls but normally, he could hear your sniffles or your breathing

after knocking again to no response, he set for outside

and there you were, knees pressed to your chest on a bench, your face hidden 

Aizawa gently approached you and softly said your name

“y/n..shh..I’m here, it’s ok. no one’s watching. come here”

your face peeked out and seeing that he was right, you quickly hid your face in your brother’s arms

for a few minutes, he just let you clutch his shirt, feeling your tears dampening it

the whole time, he made sure that you could hear his own steady breathing to guide you

“y/n, do you think you’d be able to go back to class?”

this was a dilemma for you

you didn’t think you could go back in there with red cheeks and puffy eyes but you didn’t know if your brother would usually let students take the rest of the day off like this

but he said, “it’s ok if you can’t. you’re a good student, y/n. no one will think anything.”

he was right

you weren’t one to slack off

no one would suspect that their teacher was your brother

he was just worried for you

and with that, you went back to your dorm

Aizawa didn't have to say anything to the class, your classmates were already worried for you and since he didn’t say that he went to check on you, they sent food and messages, hoping that you were alright
