Alice clicked the speaker button on her phone, relieved to finally be talking to someone. She had been trying to get a hold of Alicia Fox for days, but no matter how many messages she sent, Alicia's assistant seemed to block her every time.
Alice was confident that this time would be different.
'Hello? Alicia?' she said cautiously.
The other end of the line was silent for a second before a familiar voice spoke.
'Alice?' Alicia said, her voice a little rough.
Alice let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. 'Yes, it's me. I'm so glad I finally got a hold of you.'
Alicia chuckled. 'It's good to hear from you too. What do you want?'
Alice took a deep breath and let it out before she said what was on her mind. 'I wanted to see if you'd like to spend some time together. One on one.'
There was a pause, then Alicia spoke again. 'I think I'd like that,' she said, her voice a little softer.
Alice smiled, feeling her heart racing in her chest. 'Me too,' she said, her own voice softer than before.
'Great,' Alicia said, 'Then let's do it. Meet me at my place tomorrow night, and I'll bring dinner. It'll be our own little date.'
Alice shivered, feeling giddy at the thought of spending time with Alicia. 'I'd love to,' she said.
Tomorrow night couldn't come soon enough.
The next night, Alice arrived at Alicia's apartment, a bundle of nerves and anticipation. She rang the doorbell, and Alicia answered almost immediately, wearing a tight dress and a sultry look in her eyes.
Alice gasped, feeling her fingertips tingle. Alicia smiled and stepped aside so she could enter.
'Welcome,' Alicia said as Alice stepped inside.
Alice smiled back, her heart beating faster as Alicia reached for her hand.
'Dinner can wait,' Alicia said, her voice low. 'I think tonight is better savored.'
Alice nodded, her mouth dry at the prospect.
Alicia leaned in, her lips just a breath away from Alice's own.
'No matter what,' Alicia said, her voice a purr, 'You can count on me to make it a night to remember.'
Alice smiled, her entire body trembling as Alicia pulled her in for a scorching kiss.
From that moment on, Alice knew she'd never be the same.
