I think dragons having their own language would be cool, like with words and sounds or even body language that only dragons can make or preform (like an animal noise or flapping their wings) This would mean that it would be very hard for humans to learn to speak it, and their speech couldn’t really ever be “perfect.” But, I think dragons would still be able to understand human (their skill level depending on how much human interaction they participate in and the human language would depend on what language the humans they interacted with primarily used). This would be the same with humans as a compromise for not being able to speak dragon, they learn how to understand it. (This would also depend on the same things since I doubt all dragons across the world speak the exact same language, after all some live in clouds where visibility would be much harder so they could have a more verbal language, while the ones that live in the sea could use a dragon form of sign language) .
