Also The Worst Part Is When The Kids Start Asking About Why Do They Need To Leave For A While Before Starting - Tumblr Posts
Tbh, the whole thing is basically we feed the Tió (practically anything counts as food for him) and then we kinda hit the wooden log with sticks while singing special Christmas songs in order for it to poop us presents. (Kinda violent now that I say it out loud, but oh boy, the kids love it)
I never thought about it being related and a possible inspiration for the Stump (i mean, Mewmans practically worship the Stump while we do... that) but, maybe?? Idk
(sorry for having invited myself into your post. I find it funny when people talk about cultural things about my country I can add details to)
apparently there's a Christmas tradition in Catalonia called Tio de Nadal, where people worship a wooden log that gives presents, and i wonder if that was the inspiration for stump day
huh
I’m not sure tbh but that’s very interesting.
