tbh i’m kinda into the idea that Lyle feels terrible about shooting Neteyam because he thought that it was Neytiri. But at the same time it doesn’t make any sense at all. He’s a marine for one, he’s killed many people with no regard to their age, and everyone knows war indirectly affects many people, including many children. Also Lyle has established that he will kill every Na’vi on Pandora if it means finding Jake. ALSO my main point is that Neytiri is the mother of four children, none over the age of 15. So if Lyle is sympathetic and extremely traumatized from killing a teenager, would he also not feel the same about killing a young mother?
