After an injury (yours or his)I feel like he'd get a little overbearing and clingy. He loves you and trusts you but he wants, no NEEDS to take care of you so he knows you're okay

absolutely! i feel like this man would be so worried about you, like endlessly worried. this man is a simp (as we have already established) and he would do anything to make sure you're okay. gonna put some thoughts below hehe

if you get injured;

okay, if you get an injury? oh no, prepare for him to be checking up on you all the goddamn time

like if it's a cut or something small, he'll make sure you're changing out the plaster(band-aid), making sure it gets air, making sure it's not getting infected, the whole nine-yards

but if it's something serious like a broken bone or a sprained ankle or like a concussion, you aren't doing anything, he would absolutely make sure his partner didn't have to do a goddamn thing if they were injured

you needed a drink of water? he's already gone, snacks? car keys picked up and telling you to text him what you want, just want cuddles? he's already there with blankets

but say he gets called away on a case, he honestly contemplates asking prentiss if he can use his annual leave because he does not want to leave you, you have to tell him to go on the case and convince him that you'll be okay

he still periodically checks on you though, he calls you whenever he gets a minute, texts you and if you ever don't reply, he gets very worried

like picture this, you've hurt your leg and before luke left, he made sure that if you were in bed or the living room, you were gonna be comfy with pillows, blankets, the whole nine-yards but that makes you so so sleepy and you end up falling asleep

so you don't reply to him for a few hours and you wake up to a slew of texts of him making sure you're okay before he realised that you were probably asleep and he sends the sweetest message hoping that you had a nice sleep and asking if you can text him whenever you wake up

it makes you realise how much you loved this man and you are so lucky to have him

and when you are better you obviously repay him for being so attentive and sweet ;)

like he would be overbearing but i think he'd reign it back when he realised how much you just needed him to be supportive and how exhausted you were

he is somewhat overbearing but you know that he means well and if you ever asked for space, he'd happily give it to you and that's what makes him so goddamn perfect

and now, if he gets injured;

so, let's say he got injured, sprain ankle, whatever and he's meant to be resting up, you want to repay the favour from whenever you are injured but he's not having it

you leave the room to get some water for him? he is trailing after you. you offer to go to the store to get him whatever food he wants? he begs you to stay in bed with him

i feel like whenever luke gets injured, it would usually be related to a BAU case and that would make him like, more clingy than he usually would be, he doesn't want you to leave, he wants to keep you close since he can't protect you when he's injured so he'd rather have you close

it's sweet but a little frustrating when you just want to take care of him and so you often find compromises and work-arounds and stay on the phone with him a lot

but like luke is so clingy when he's injured, he just wants you near him and it makes everything feel better, it's sweet really but you also find it a little bit funny
