YALL i know we all love the idea of will finally snapping and beating the shit out of a demogorgon and obviously im still down for that bc god knows the kid needs an outlet

but what if mike was the one who snapped?

imagine will is being attacked by a demogorgon and mike sees red as he lunges forward attacking the creature from behind and as he manages to tackle it away from will, he just starts smashing with the nailed bat steve trusted him with. he smashes it over and over, already long dead and screaming and grunting as more of its blood spread on mike’s face.

this fucker terrorized my friends. my family. it scared will; it took him. it took will away from us.

‘’mike stop!’’ will frantically runs to him trying to pull him away from the dead demogorgon, only for mike to push him away wanting to bash its head in even more. however will is relentless and tries again. he makes mike face him and cradles his face with both of his hands. mike notices his friend shaking and evidently scared. yet here will was, comforting him, prioritizing people’s needs over his own. will’s voice muffles in the background and he could hear distinct voices asking if he was okay.

mike drops the bat immediately and practically collapses to will’s arms. they hug tightly and mike is straight up sobbing.
