So, I haven't really been up to date with what's going on on the Flash because I stopped watching after how genuinely trash the show had become, but I had just recently come across a post about the scene where Barry destroys all of Caitlin's equipment and I was like what the actual hell?

You're telling me that Barry Allen, who is one of Caitlin's closest friends since Day 1, the one who helped her through most of her grief and losses, the one who himself has been through so much loss, just destroys all of her stuff and wooshes away?

Look, no one's denying that Caitlin's off the rails. That girl has been through so much pain and so much loss in her whole life, it's insane. So when Frost- her sister, the person she was sharing a body with, the person that was literally inside her head- dies, you expect her to just sit and grieve normally? I mean, hasn't she done enough of that? There was probably only so much she could handle before going off the rails and it was obviously going to be when she lost the one person she thought was going to be there forever.

Grief drives people to do crazy and grief drove Barry to reset the whole fucking timeline of his earth. And he did that in two seconds without thinking of the consequences and that was just fine? Everyone was so understanding then.

But when Caitlin Snow, who is a genius and whose only skill set is biochemistry and a Ph.D, tries to resurrect Frost using science (which honestly could probably be possible), she's the bad guy?

Yes, she was not grieving healthily and she needed help, but it most definitely was not in the form of one of her best friends throwing lightning across all of her equipment- in the middle of which she was standing, btw- and then just giving her a fucking pitying look before wooshing without any words like shes a stranger.

You would expect someone who has been through the same thing as her, so many times, would have a little bit more understanding, but apparently, Barry Allen plays God, and it's only okay for him to do what he wants.

It is insane how different this show has become since the first seasons. It's like the same faces with the same character names but totally different personalities.

Seems like a common theme with CW though.

Season 1 Barry Allen who literally doesn't even know Caitlin Snow: You look like you're hurting and I'm sorry. I'm here for you.

Season 3 Caitlin Snow after Barry Allen screws the timeline and gives her powers she's deathly afraid of: You were grieving, it's okay, I understand that better than anyone. It's not your fault.

Season 3 Barry Allen after Caitlin Snow goes rogue: You're family, we protect each other no matter what, I will help you.

Season 4 Caitlin Snow going through identity crisis but still supporting Barry Allen: You got this.

Season 5 Barry Allen helping Caitlin Snow find her father, only for her to lose him again: It's okay, you've not lost all, we're your family too.
