Summary: Steve Rogers never thought someone would want to get to know just Steve and not Captain America, but then he meets her. A chance encounter in a cafe, she becomes something he never thought he would have in his life. She not only becomes his muse, but his chance at love. 40s Steve Rogers AU.

Part One - Steve Rogers goes to a cafe where he intends to do his normal routine of drinking coffee. Only instead he meets a woman who he can’t help but draw in his small leather brown notebook.

Part Two - After meeting a woman, Steve becomes smitten with her. It is the night of their date and he falls more and more in love with her the longer he is with her.

Part Three - Steve and Y/N only have a limited amount of time together before they are called back to the war. Only what happens when the tragedy of war isn’t what they think it is?
