I'm... fandom old and I've only ever used tags for organisation of my posts, like the old days of Livejournal and how I use them on Dreamwidth. I'm still getting used to using tags as my reaction or comments on posts so that my tags make you laugh makes me feel fantastic!

OK so honestly no, no I don't. I fell in love with both of their tennis playing this year (I've been watching tennis since the mid-80s), and then somewhere around Wimbledon the ADHD went 'oooh new hyperfixation' (there's another long post brewing actually about it might be a lifelong suppressed special interest) I felt like I was being super annoying to my partner and all my friends and went 'oh huh I wonder if there's a tennis fandom on Tumblr', and lo, there was a tennis fandom
There were people loving Sinner and Alcaraz and Federer and Nadal and Shelton and being excited and geeking out over the games. And there were slashers. Now, I'm a slasher. I have been writing fanfiction since I was a pre-teen, I have been writing slash fanfiction since my teens, and I have been posting said fanfiction online since my late teens. We're talking the 90s here people. (proud owner of an Anne Rice C&D dontcha know?) I've also been in as many, if not more, RPS fandoms than FPS ones. It's a hobby, I enjoy it. (There's only been maybe 2 RPS fandoms in all that time I actually believed in. Sincaraz is not one of them (although the more time I spend in fandom, the less sure I am about not believing the Fedal!) - but seriously, allow me to talk about how I do believe the Jack/Daniel and McShep or the Hardison/Parker/Eliot)
And so I was curious and I went onto AO3. I was... legit quite shocked by the amount of fic. I wasn't expecting it. I started reading. It was a lot of fun. My muse, Bob!, he is a fickle creature and he likes the pretty. He's decided Jannik and Carlos are his current pretty he wants to play with. I've written and posted more fic in the last two weeks than I have in months and THAT feels fantastic.
Although, having said that, I'm not actually physically/sexually attracted to either of them. You know why? Because they are literally over half my age. I think Jannik is cute as fuck and I'm currently at 'would kill to protect', I think Carlos has a... conventionally attractive physique and I do appreciate good strong shoulders/upper arms. I legit feel kinda dirty at times. But it's nothing more than 'aesthetically attractive', there's no... anything else. If nothing else, I'm queer so there's that! (There's a whole 'nother long post planned about being demi/ace, levels of aesthetically pleasing/pretty/attractiveness and what they mean).
TL;DR no, I don't think they're fucking, I adore them both as tennis players and people, I am loving the fandom around them, slash fanfic is fun. *gives all the love to the tennisblr, jannikblr and sincaraz peeps who've graciously welcomed me to the party over the last couple of weeks*
You've mentioned writing kink in another fandom, and that you like writing D/s games. Are you going to write any BDSM/kink Sincaraz fic?

So, yes, in SG-1 I write a lot of kink fic. It's one of my favourite things to write, and has been in most fandoms I've been in to be honest.
However, having said that, no, I don't get kinkfic vibes from them. Even the one that started based on the articles and commentators saying how dominant Jannik has been this year ended up more... Carlitos being surprised at Jannik taking initiative than anything else.
Even with kinktober being just round the corner, and them both being the kind of ages where experimenting with things happens, no... I don't think there's going to be any Sincaraz kink. Unless someone like specifically requests something, maybe.

what's the last thing you wrote down in your notes app? I don't generally use my notes app, but I handwrote a little bit of fic yeterday which goes Jannik’s grinning back at him, aware that he probably looks like a heart eyes emoji but he can’t bring himself care. He’s missed this, missed Carlos and can’t- (but rudely I didn't finish the sentence!)
what's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work? As long as it's not flamey or troll-y, I love to get any comments. Even a kudos or an 'I loved this' made my day, but I REALLY love knowing what bits a reader liked!
what made you choose your username? I was initially quite reluctant to ship Carlos/Jannik, despite my muse sitting up and taking notice and it being quite pretty. My main tumblr (shortstorylonger) is my favourite Life of Riley song. My AO3 name badfalcon has been my usual online username for about 25 years (if you see a badfalcon anywhere, very high chance it's me) and it came from BAD was how Bryan ADams was known in the fandom, and falcon for both the Millennium Falcon and because I love birds of prey)

What is a popular (serious) theory you disagree with? I've seen people saying that in the post Big 3 era, tennis is in 'safe hands' with Carlos and/or Jannik, or that the future of tennis is secure with them playing. But, y'know, there are literally hundreds of people playing tennis right now, the tour is huge and I'm pretty sure tennis would survive and continue to thrive even without them (as much as I love them)
What is your biggest unpopular opinion about the series? I don't want Carlos and Jannik to be the new 'Roger and Rafa'... I just want them to be Carlos and Jannik. Like, I absolutely want them to have that level of longevity, that level of rivalry and friendship, but I don't want it to be a replacement for something that other people are missing - I want it to be it's own thing.
What does everyone else get wrong about your favorite character? I get very tired of seeing Jannik get called... what was it I saw the other day? The personality of wet sandpaper. I see so much of myself in him in on-court and post-match interviews - I have a selection of stock phrases that I use when I have to interact with people, I have scripts especially when I know how a conversation is going to go; I know what's going to be asked of me and I have a collection of specific answers. But then you only have to look at him when he's around people he's comfortable with. His body language is SO different that I can spot it. Basically, a classic case of people misinterpreting introverts - you just need to look out for the extraverts that have adopted him ;)

But, What is an unpopular ship that you like? And I can't really answer this one either so uhh.
I only have the one pairing. I've always been an OTP in a fandom kind of person (other than SG-1 fandom where everyone's shagging everyone else). So yeah, in the tennis RPS world, there's only Sincaraz and tbh I'm perfectly happy with that.
I'm not sure I've ever had a particularly unpopular ship in any fandom - I also don't really care about the 'popularity' of a ship, or even notice it.
Omg that sincaraz edging bit was so good I am obsessed (it was also a bit rude to leave the boy hanging like that😔)

an unusual song that’s your favorite? So, my entire music taste is pretty eclectic but I think what's standing out as 'unusual' for me is probably something like Drunk Space Pirate by The Mechanisms, or something by MC Lars, Signing Emo or This Gigantic Robot Kills, maybe.
A lot of people are surprised by the fact I'm a die-hard Swiftie, since I tend to lean towards hair metal or pop punk. Li says its the combination of things I listen to, like these combined with British Country, is more unusual than the specific songs I like

do you like pasta? I LOVE pasta, probably literally couldn't live without it, and eat it at least a couple of times a week. I also make my own pasta which is a lot of fun - ok so for sensory reasons, Li has to do the initial flour and egg into dough because I can't touch it without gagging, but yeah I have a pasta machine for stretching out the dough. Carbonara, spaghetti & meatballs, macaroni cheese all from scratch are some of my favourite things to make.
an earliest obsession you remember? Probably something like The Famous Five or The Chronicles of Narnia when I was 7 or 8. I absolutely loved both of them, and would make up my own stories. I live in a fairly rural area, used to act them out in the woods and everything.
Do you play video games? I DO! I have been a gamer since childhood, I mostly play platformers, racing and cozy gaming - I have so much love for Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, Palia etc. Between us, Li and I have an Amstrad CPC 464 (from the 80s), a SNES, a Megadrive, a Gameboy, a Gameboy Advance, a PS2, 2 Wiis, 2 Switches, a Steam box & controller, a gaming desktop and a gaming laptop. Our wishlist includes a Steamdeck and somehow we don't have anything X Box which is something that needs to be rectified ASAP. I can still spend HOURS playing Super Mario Bros, Tetris, Mario Kart :D
Zombies or Vampires? Vampires. Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles have been my favourite books since I was a teenager, I love the lore and everything's she's created around them. Buffy is one of my top TV shows. Bram Stoker's Dracula I love in all shapes and sizes, and Poppy Z Brite's Lost Souls is always one of my top books of all time. That's not to say I don't love zombies. I do. I have my zombie apocalypse survival plan like any good nerd. I just love vampires more.
Your first celebrity crush? The first one I really remember as being a proper celeb crush was Scary Spice. It was the first time I had that 'ohhhh' moment. I remember friends in school being crazy about like Ronan Keating or Mark Owen and thinking they were cute, but I didn't really get it. Then I saw Mel B and…. ohhhh I get it now. Also, being demi, most of my crushes are on fictional characters so an honourable mention has to go out to Dana Scully and Willow Rosenberg for similar reasons.

Relationship status - I'm engaged to an amazing woman called Lilith (Li), we moved in together last month and we're coming up on one of the dates that might be our 4th anniversary (there's like 3 possible dates - one in October, one in December, one in January LOL). I'm still all giddy and gleeful.
