"She's just so infuriating! I wish I could just quit. I was supposed to be promoted but nooo. They just had to put someone else. He hasn't even been working there for even a year yet and he's so fricking slow!" You ranted as you rested on your boyfriend's lap. Hyunjin hummed as he stroked your hair. "Do you want me to come to work with you tomorrow?" He asked. "Isn't tomorrow rest day for you and why would you do that? Rumors would go flying about you." You said back. "True but if she's giving you such a hard time I could give her a taste of my mind or ask Minho to." He replied with a little smirk at the end. "Hyunie no and besides Minho-oppa would probably curse you out or something plus your manager wouldn't allow it and neither will I." You replied in a stern tone. Hyunjin sighed dramatically. "My own girlfriend doesn't even want my help. What's next? You're gonna breakup with me or worse. You'll ban me from my daily kisses and cuddles." He said. You love him but he's too dramatic.

"So breaking up isn't worse? You're so dramatic and weird." You replied shaking your head on his lap. "You love me for it though." He said with a cheeky smirk. "I don't. I love you for your looks and connections with other idols. I mean why wouldn't I date an idol if it wasn't to just hang out with Yeonjun? Like he's so handsome and cute and his dance moves.. Damn." You spoke. Hyunjin looked at you and removed his hand from your hair with his mouth agape. He looked like a fish out of water. "You…you meanie. Liar. Fake." He said dramatically as if he clutched his chest. You burst into giggles at his words which soon turned into a full blown laugh. Your eyes crinkled as your cheeks turned red. Your pearly white teeth showing. Hyunjin thought you looked beautiful. He smiled at you happy that he got you to smile and laugh after a particularly hard day at work.

You had came back to apartment after work with your shoulders slumped and tear filled eyes with Hyunjin sitting on the couch with his sketch pad. He had used the key you gave him to come in. When he saw you looking about to burst into tears, he immediately put his book down and stood with a frown and immediately engulfed you in a hug. You broke down in his arms and his heart broke. He was ready to fight the person who hurt you since you never cried unless it was from laughing too hard. He had gently ran his fingers through your hair as he murmured sweet words in your ear as he swayed side to side with you never releasing his grip on you. Afterwards, he ran you a bath and ordered takeout. He left you in the tub to give you some alone time.

When you came out, he immediately pat the cushion next to him for you sit on as you spilled everything while eating "I love you." He confessed stroking your cheek. You had stopped laughing and looked up at him with a big smile. "I love you more." You said. The smile on your face could rival that of Pennywise and the Grinch and Felix. The big smile on your face caused him to smile. He wore a tender and soft expression as he leaned down and kissed your forehead followed by your nose which made you giggle and scrunch it up before he kissed your cheeks and then finally your lips. Your lips were soft against his pillowy ones. He hummed and smiled as you smiled which broke the sweet kiss. He giggled along with you. He would do anything to protect you and make you smile.

He would never admit it but his biggest fear beside facing Lee Know's wrath is losing you. He wouldn't survive without you. You made his idol life and busy schedules brighter. Every moment spent with you makes his heart race and he don't ever want to lose that. The feeling of being in love and being able to call someone theirs and in return be called the same. You made his life bearable and he'll always appreciate you even if he gets to spend an hour or less with you whether it be in person, text or call. He'll always love you and listen to all your worries and problems but only if he gets to wipe your tears and love you everyday till his last breath.
